IIMC Entrance Exam 2025: The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) accepts CUET-PG results for admission to their MA and PG Diploma courses. The National Testing Agency (NTA) started accepting applications for CUET-PG on January 2, 2025. Applicants will be able to apply until February 1, 2025. The application correction window for the exam will be available on February 2 and 3, 2025. 

The tests will take place between March 13 and 31, 2025. The datesheets for the various papers will be provided after the applications are completed. IIMC provides opportunities to aspirants in the Journalism and Media industry through their annual entrance exam, qualifying which the students can enroll themselves at IIMC and attain the required set of tools and experiences that would allow them to flourish in their respective careers.

IIMC Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria 2025

Indian nationals with a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university are eligible to apply. Students who have taken/are taking the final year/semester exam for their Bachelor's Degree are also eligible to apply. After completing the course, the Diploma will be conferred only if the Original Degree Certificate is presented for verification at IIMC's office.

  • NRI Quota: Five additional seats in each course were reserved for NRI or NRI-sponsored candidates. The eligibility criteria and age limits for NRI quota candidates are the same as mentioned above. However, applicants under the NRI/NRI-sponsored quota could register for an online interview directly to the IIMC (NOT through NTA) and pay an entry fee of US $50.
  • Reservations: 15% for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, 27% for Other Backward Classes (OBC) Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) candidates as per the Central List, 10% for General Economically Weaker Sections (General -EWS) candidates, and Reservation for Kashmiri Migrants.

IMC 2025 Age Limit

The age limits set by IIMC for appearing for the exam for different categories are as follows.

General Category: The candidate must be born in Aug 1995 or later.

SC/ST/Physically Challenged: The candidate's date of birth should be Aug 1990 or later.

OBC: Candidates must be born on or later than Aug 1992.

IIMC Entrance Exam Application Form 2025

IIMC PG Diploma candidates can now apply for CUET-PG online (January 2, 2025, to February 1, 2025). The application form is available on the National Testing Agency's (NTA) official website. 

The application correction window will be open from February 2 to 3, 2025. Once the application correction window closes, modifications to the IIMC application form are no longer possible. All IIMC PG Diploma programs will have their tests administered by CUET PG. IIMC will handle the last parts of the selection process, such as counselling.

Steps to Apply for IIMC via CUCET 2025

Candidates must visit the official website of CUCET to apply for the entrance exam for IIMC. The steps to apply for CUCET 2025 are as follows.

  • Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website and complete the Online Registration at - iimc.nic.in. 
  • Step 2: An applicant ID will be sent to the candidate after the online registration.
  • Step 3: Enter the applicant ID and date of birth to log in and access the application form.
  • Step 4: Enter the required personal and educational details.
  • Step 5: Upload the scanned images of the photograph and signature according to the specifications.
  • Step 6: Pay the application fee for the exam.

Steps to Fill Application Forms For Courses in Regional Languages

Candidates applying for PG Diploma Course in Odia/Urdu/Marathi/Malayalam Journalism, follow the below steps to apply:

  • Step 1: Download the application form from the official website of IIMC and fill the form in your own handwriting. 
  • Step 2: Candidates can apply for Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, or Urdu Journalism. Candidates can apply only for one course/language.
  • Step 3: Candidates must pay the exam fee online mode or via Bank.
  • Step 4: Candidates must paste their self-attested passport-size photograph on the application form. 
  • Step 5: After filling the application form, it must be submitted by hand or by post to the mentioned IIMC postal address.

IIMC Entrance Exam Pattern 2025

On the same day, two separate entrance exams will be administered. One for four courses other than regional language journalism, namely PG Diploma in Hindi Journalism, PG Diploma in English Journalism, PG Diploma in Public Relations and Advertising, and PG Diploma in Radio and Television. Another will be for regional language journalism classes (Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu).

Students will have three hours to complete 100 Multiple Choice topics (MCQ) on General Knowledge and General Aptitude, including a few general topics from the subject of Media & Communication. IIMC Entrance Exam Results 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the Indian Institute of Mass Communication results for PG diploma courses in Journalism via CUET PG March, 205 (tentatively). Candidates must check their IIMC Entrance Exam scorecard 2025 on the National Testing Agency's official website.

IIMC Entrance Exam Counselling 2025

The IIMC Entrance Exam counselling schedule is issued by the exam conducting authorities, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), following the results announcement.
