SOF IEO Olympiad registration is only open for students from classes 1 to 12. Participants can do the registration through their school or as an individual. Students have to make a payment of INR 150 (125+25) to participate in the exam. Additional charges may vary according to schools.

IEO Registration Eligibility Criteria
The Science Olympiad Foundation has made a few guidelines and eligibility criteria for every student. Students must clear all those eligibility criteria to sit in the SOF IEO Olympiad exam. The IEO Olympiad's complete process consists of 2 levels.
Eligibility criteria for both levels are different from each other.
IEO Level 1 Eligibility Criteria
Students willing to appear for the SOF International English Olympiad examination have to clear only a few basic criteria.
Eligibility criteria for students to appear for the IEO level 1 exam are given below.
- Only the students studying in classes 1 to 12 can register for the IEO Olympiad exam.
- The School of the student must follow the recognized education board of India.
- The student must be an Indian citizen.
IEO Level 2 Eligibility Criteria
Only the students qualifying for the IEO level 1 exam can be eligible for the IEO level 2 exam.
All the criteria in which the students would be considered eligible for the IEO level 2 exam are given below.
- Only the students from classes 3 to 12 are eligible for the SOF IEO level 2 exam.
- The student must come under the top 5 % of the candidates on a class- basis classification.
- On a school basis, the student must be the topper of the class in which there is a minimum of 10 students participating in the IEO examination.
Note- There is no Level 2 examination for any SOF IEO Olympiad examinations for the session 2024-25, students are rewarded on the basis of the Level 1 examination only.
How to Register for IEO?
Students can fill out the IEO exam registration form in two ways. The first way to fill IEO application form is to get registered through their respected school, and the second way is to fill out the IEO online registration form directly through the SOF official website.
The detailed registration process for SOF IEO is as follows.
IEO Olympiad Registration Through School
The school registered with SOF has to submit the IEO registration form and IEO application fee for the International English Olympiad Examination. Science Olympiad Foundation will send a prospectus comprising school registration forms and student registration forms to all the registered schools.
If the school is not registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation, they must write an email to SOF requesting the prospectus. Each registered school should have a minimum of 10 students who must be willing to appear for the examination.
IEO Olympiad Individual Registration
Students can also do the direct registration as an individual through the SOF official website. For, individual registration exams will be conducted at the residence of students.
Students can apply for individual registration under their parents' guidance. Here are the steps to apply for SOF IEO Individual registration.
- Go to the official website of the Science Olympiad Foundation.
- On the home page, students can view the "Online Registration for Schools and Students."
- Click on "read more," which will direct you to the registration page.
- Candidates can view school registration, student registration, and registration forms for schools on the registration page.
- Click on "Registration by Students," which will direct you to the individual registration form.
- Enter school details and student details in the individual registration form.
- Preview your application form and click submit.
IEO Individual Registration Form Details
The SOF IEO Olympiad hall ticket will be available on the official web page of the Olympiad foundation and sent to the registered school. A hard copy of it is a must in the examination hall during an exam. Without the hall ticket, students won't be allowed to enter the examination hall.

IEO Registration Fees
A nominal participation fee will be charged from each student, and the schools may use the part of registration fees for conducting an exam. Students have to pay an amount of INR 125 towards Olympiad, and the school management can charge an additional amount of up to INR 25 to conduct the exam.
