Many companies come for different types of roles in my college. In my batch, almost all got placed in good companies. Our college has 3 placement Tiers-Tier 1 for 12lpa+,Tier2 for range 4 to 8lpa, Tier 3 <4lpa. If someone gets into any Tier, they can then sit for the upper Tier only. The highest Package offered was 50lpa.

College Infrastructure and Hostel Facilities

4

There are 2 hostels, 1 on campus for boys from the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year boys and the other, 5.4 k.m. away from college, with 2 seperate blocks, 1 for girls and the other 1st year boys to prevent ragging. There are also many PGs available near the college. Hostel food is really delicious with a year's menu for the year. Each class has around 60 students, but the classrooms are very spacious, so it doesn't feel like there are many people in the room.

Entrance Exams and Admissions

I got into my college through COMED-K exam as I was not from Karnataka, but there are other ways also like-KCET,PESSAT exam. The eligibility criteria for my college, ISE branch was a rank till 4000 in COMED-K, 75% in 12th Board exams and a good score in class 10th.There were 2 rounds for college selection.

Academics and Faculty

4

College timings range from 8:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with 8 classes of 1hr each and a short break of 30 minutes. and lunch break of 45 min. We have 2 sem exams, with each subject having 80 marks weightage, 3 internal exams, which combined are of 15 marks weightage, and attendance and assignments of 5 marks weightage. Teachers are very good and make sure that each and every students understand the concepts.

Fees and Scholarships

2.5

PES Institute of Technology, [PESIT] Bangalore Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 1.92 lakhs per year. For kcet students, it is 75,000 rupees per year. There are scholarship options also, but only for students admitted through KCET and PESSAT exams. Loans are easy to avail, especially from Union Bank of India.

Clubs and Associations

5

There are 23 clubs in my college, almost related to every activity that a student may like, which anyone can join if they are interesed. The main events are festivals like Maaya-for intercollege competitions, Activity day for inter-dept. Competitions and many other sports competitions. In general,I would say that my college life is Awesome.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : COMED-K is the examination for admission in different colleges in Karnataka. Once you satisfy the eligibility criteria i.e 0-5000(prefered) rank you can get good colleges in Karnataka. After results, very soon you will be notified about colleges which you can get based on your rank. Attend counselling and get to know more about your college choices.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : I got into PESIT through KCET, the cutoffs for my year were fairly high(around 1500 for CSE) but with PES becoming a university, the admissions will be based on their own PESSAT and KCET. The entrance exam level of PESSAT is fairly competitive (I've heard) and with the south campus gaining traction over the years it's getting just as tough to get in there through merit. My advice, prep well on COMEDK UGET material, as the level of exams are similar.
