Pre-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The Pre-matric scholarship for students with disabilities is a scholarship scheme initiated by the government of India. The scholarship for physically disabled students scheme's main motive is to encourage, motivate and support physically impaired students to pursue higher education. The candidates must be pursuing their studies in classes 9th or 10th. Additionally, students with more than 40% of disabilities can benefit from the scholarship. For being eligible for the scholarship program, the candidate's annual family income should not exceed INR 2,00,000. Applicants who are selected for the scholarship scheme may receive various allowances.

Post-Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
Post-matric scholarship for students with disabilities is a scholarship scheme initiated by the government of India to support the students from grade XI to postgraduate degrees financially. Students with an annual family income of less than INR 2,50,000 and having more than 40% disability can apply for this scholarship. Various allowances such as maintenance, book, etc., or reimbursement of a compulsory non-refundable fee are provided to the students under this Scheme.

AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme
AICTE Saksham scholarship scheme is a scheme that provides scholarships to physically challenged students. Candidates having more than 40% disability and are currently in their first year pursuing any diploma/degree level technical courses at an AICTE approved institution are eligible to apply for this scholarship for the physically disabled. The candidate's family remuneration should be less than INR 8,00,000. Selected students are given INR 30,000 as tuition fee reimbursement and INR 20,000 as incidentals each year as a scholarship.

Micro Financing Scheme
The Micro financing scheme was introduced by the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC). The scholarship is provided to inspire and bring out the best in the students who face financial challenges and are physically unequipped to attain quality education. Disabled candidates who are 18 years of age can benefit from the scheme. Additionally, women candidates are given extra privileges. Upon completing registration for the scholarship scheme, the applicants can receive benefits of loans provided by the government in aiding the underprivileged students to cover various expenses.

National Overseas Scholarship for Students with Disabilities
The National overseas scholarship is conducted for the physically disabled. It aims to provide monetary assistance to the students with disabilities who are pursuing Master's level courses and Phd abroad in Engineering & Management/ Pure Sciences and Applied Sciences/ Agricultural Science & Medicine/ Commerce ( Accounting and Finance) and Humanities, Social Science, including Law & Fine Arts. Students applying for the scholarship scheme for the physically disabled must have a minimum score of 55% in their master's or bachelor's degree, and their parental income should not exceed INR 6,00,000. The selected students will be rewarded with USD 15,400.

16th CavinKare Ability Awards
The 16th CavinKare ability awards were launched by CavinKare Pvt. Ltd. and the Ability Foundation. Its principal objective is to help physically challenged students and motivate them to aspire for higher education. Selected candidates would get a cash prize of upto INR 2,00,000

Loan for Professional/ Educational/ Training Courses to Disabled Persons
Loan for professional/ educational/ training courses to disabled persons is a scheme promoted by the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation. Its main objective is to grant a loan to physically challenged students, which aids them in paying their education expenses. The loan scheme provides higher education opportunities in India or abroad to deserving candidates. Students pursuing professional courses at under-recognized institutions with 40% or more disabilities can apply for this scheme. Selected candidates can receive a maximum amount of upto INR 10,00,000 if they study in India and INR 20,00,000 abroad.

Scheme for Financial Assistance for Skill & Entrepreneurial Development
NHFDC initiated the scheme for financial assistance for skill & entrepreneurial development to provide training to physically challenged persons. It aims to make them self-dependent and capable enough through proper technical training in tradition and technical entrepreneurship and occupations. This scholarship scheme for differently-abled students financially supports the meritorious applicants. To satisfy the scholarships for physically disabled students' eligibility criteria, the candidates must be between 15 to 50 years of age. The selected candidates can get upto 100% reimbursement of the total recurring cost of the programme and a stipend of INR 500 per week under this scheme.

Scholarship for Top Class Education for Students with Disability
The scholarship for Top-class education for students with disability is a scholarship scheme for differently-abled applicants initiated by the government of India to financially support the students and encourage them to pursue post-graduation courses. Candidates applying for this scholarship scheme must have enrolled in any post-graduation course and their annual family income should not exceed INR 6,00,000. The selected candidates would be rewarded with tuition fees, maintenance and special allowances.

NHFDC Trust Fund Scholarship for Differently-Abled Students
NHFDC trust fund scholarship for differently-abled students is a scholarship scheme initiated by the National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation (NHFDC). Its main motive is to encourage differently-abled students to pursue a course in the field of technical or any other professional course. The annual family earnings should be less than INR 3,00,000. The candidates who get qualified for the scholarship program will be rewarded with a maintenance allowance (INR 2,500-3,000 pm), book/stationery allowance (INR 10,000 per year), and aid and appliances (if applicable).

National Fellowship for PwDS
The National fellowship for PwDs is initiated and implemented by UGC, which covers all universities/ institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This opportunity is given to those physically challenged students only who are in the field of research and are pursuing M.Phil. and PhD. A maximum scholarship amount of INR 25,000 to the selected candidates.

Step 2: Next, they should click on "register here" to create a new profile and enter the valid details.
Step 3: A confirmation email link will be sent to the registered email ID; the candidate must click on the link to confirm the registration.

The applicants can follow the steps mentioned below to apply on the National Scholarship Portal:
Step 1: Go to the official website of the National Scholarship Portal.
Step 2: The candidates must first register into the portal for new users by providing the required information.
Step 3: Fill out the application as per the instructions mentioned on the website and click on the Save button.
Step 4:Then, they will get a "temporary ID" after filling out the ST online form. They should fill in the remaining details and complete the registration process.
Step 5: Next, a registration ID would be generated, which can be used on a future date to track the scholarships for physically disabled students status of different applications or it can be used during the renewal of scholarship.
