NEET 2023 State-Wise Merit List Eligibility Criteria
As stated earlier, the eligibility criteria include domicile, schooling, and others, but completing class 12 is mandatory for all candidates.
- For admission to MBBS/ BAMS/ BDS/ BUMS or any other medical courses through NEET, candidates must clear class 12.
- Candidates must also pass NEET with the minimum cutoff percentile score.

Suppose two candidates score the same marks in the NEET exam, and they apply for admission in the same state; in that case, the conducting authority will employ some of the following measures:
- The candidate who scored more marks in biology will be given first preference.
- If the tie situation persists, the candidate who scored more marks in Chemistry will be given preference.
- However, if the situation still exists, the candidate who gives fewer incorrect responses will be considered.
- Now, lastly, the candidate older in age will be taken into account.
