CLAT 2025 admit cards are out and are available to downlaod starting Nov 15, 2024 by Consortiums of National Law Universities, and the CLAT exam date has been scheduled for Dec 1, 2024. CLAT application correction window 2025 was active from Jul 15, 2024, and was open till Oct 25, 2024. CLAT application form 2025 process was extended and ended on Oct 22, 2024.
Candidates who have already registered and paid the fees will be able to access the official CLAT sample paper 2025 through their login credentials. CLAT PG 2025 and UG exams will be held on the same day.
The Consortium has released guidelines for individuals with benchmark impairments. Candidates who apply under this category will receive a 40-minute compensatory time for the two-hour CLAT examination. Students must note that the conducting authority on the official website has released the official notification for CLAT 2025 exam date.
CLAT 2025 exam time are 2 to 4 pm. The Common Law Admission Test 2025 will be administered using pen and paper. According to the CLAT exam pattern 2024, there will be 120 objective-type questions. Candidates must check the CLAT 2025 syllabus and begin preparing for the upcoming legal entrance exam.

How to Apply for CLAT 2025?

- Step 2: Fill in personal details like name, email address, and mobile number. Choose a password and re-enter the password to confirm it.
- Step 3: A new account will be created upon the successful completion of the registration. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. This OTP is to be entered into the portal for account activation.
- Step 4: To complete the application process, log in to the accounts using the registered email ID and password.
- Step 5: Enter the required details, such as educational and academic details, address of correspondence, permanent address, etc.
- Step 6: Once all the information has been filled in, check the entered details again before submitting. After verifying the information, click on the "Submit" button.
- Step 7: Upload scanned copies of the photo, signature, and domicile certificate in the specified dimensions.
- Step 8: After uploading the documents, make the payment of the application fees. Use a credit card, debit card, or net banking to make the payment.
CLAT Mock Test 2025
CLAT 2025 sample papers have been released on Sep 13, 2024, by the exam authorities. Candidates registering to appear for the exam can check and download the sample papers from the official website by signing into their candidate portal.
National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack, released the CLAT 2025 first sample paper on the official website. Eligible candidates are advised to log into the official portal and practice the sample papers to understand the exam pattern well.
The conducting body is expected to release three sample papers before the exam to help candidates score better in the CLAT 2025 exam.

CLAT Exam Day Guidelines 2025
The Consortium has declared that "the capacity of scribe/reader/lab assistant will be provided to candidates who have benchmark disability of not less than 40% impairment, regardless of the type of disability," in accordance with the rules. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements for the CLAT 2025, defined as "Persons with Benchmark Disability" in section 2(r)—will receive an additional forty minutes of compensatory time for the two-hour CLAT exam.
These candidates will be given two (2) hours and forty (40) minutes in total.
Aspirants must check the exam day instructions for CLAT 2025.
- The candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the rules, policies, and fee structure of the participating NLUs before filling in the application form for UG and PG courses and the NRI/ NRI Sponsored and Foreign National seats.
- The information provided in the e-brochure regarding the intake, reservation policy, fee, courses offered, and the subjects taught at various levels, including the areas of specialization, etc., has been specified very briefly. For detailed information regarding the same, the candidates may refer to the information available on the websites of the participating NLUs.
- In the event of unforeseeable incidents resulting in the cancellation of a test city or centre, or an insufficient or extra number of candidates opting to appear from a particular test centre, the Convenor, CLAT reserves the right to cancel such a city/ centre and shift the applicant to another city/ centre.
- To claim the benefit of reservation, the candidate must produce the relevant certificates as prescribed by the Government of India/ State Government and as required by the respective NLU at the time of admission, as notified by them.
- Participating in National Law Universities reserves the right to change the total number of seats and break up of seats as per their policy before the final allotment. The reservation policy is subject to change as decided by the concerned Government from time to time.
- CLAT 2025 application fee is non-refundable and non-adjustable. If a candidate has filled in more than one online application form, the last online application form will only be considered. In such cases, the application fee for the previous application forms will not be refunded.
- The allotment of seats and the offer for admission under CLAT 2025 shall be provisional and not create any right of admission in favour of a candidate.
CLAT Notification 2025
The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has provided vital information about the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025. The CNLU was supposed to commence the CLAT 2025 application process on Jul 1, 2024. However, according to new information published on the official website, the CLAT notification 2025 has been released on Jul 7, 2024.
CLAT 2025 examination date is Dec 1, 2024. The Consortium has not yet specified a time for the release of the CLAT 2025 notification. CLAT notice 2025 will include all critical information such as CLAT syllabus 2025, CLAT eligibility criteria, CLAT Exam Pattern 2025, CLAT marking scheme, and more. CLAT exam will be held in pen-and-paper format from 2 to 4 p.m.
About CLAT Exam
CLAT full form is the Common Law Admission Test. It is a national-level Law entrance exam that helps students get admission into government and private law colleges in the country. The National Law University is responsible for conducting the exam every year.
This year, CLAT 2025 will be conducted by the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), Cuttack.
Students willing to pursue Law from the top-tier colleges of India can appear for this entrance exam which is held annually. Through CLAT, candidates can apply for admission at various campuses of the NLU.
- Qualification: Candidates who have cleared class 12 are eligible to appear for this LLB entrance exam.
- Attempts: There are no restrictions on the number of attempts for CLAT.
- Availability of Seats: About 2,700 seats are available for admission under CLAT for the LLB program, while the intake for LLM courses across the national law universities is about 700 seats.
- Placements: Some public sector companies (PSUs) like ONGC, BHEL, and Power Grid Corporation of India use CLAT score of LLM aspirants while recruiting candidates for legal posts.
- Courses Offered: BA LLB (Hons), B.Com LLB (Hons), B.Sc LLB (Hons), BBA LLB (Hons), BSW LLB (Hons).
As has already been mentioned, CLAT is a national-level entrance examination through which candidates are granted admission to Law courses. Apart from the NLUs, various other Law colleges and universities consider CLAT scores for admission. The candidates must, however, ensure that they satisfy the eligibility conditions given by those institutions.

Note: The candidates can check other common exams accepted by law colleges to know which exam suits them. The students have to take an entrance exam after completing 12th Science to avail of seats at top law colleges.
CLAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
The Bar Council of India decides the eligibility conditions that all applicants are expected to satisfy. It broadly circles the nationality, educational qualifications, and ideal age bracket. CLAT 2025 eligibility criteria shall differ for each category.

NRI applicants will have a different admission process for CLAT. These candidates will be given admission through the NRI quota in each university or college. NRI candidates are advised to contact the concerned educational institute directly and find out about the eligibility criteria.
They may be asked to present a valid passport, a copy of visas for the last 12 months, and a certificate from the local embassy to prove the NRI status of the candidate. The specifications related to the CLAT eligibility criteria 2025 are discussed below.
Qualification Criteria for Undergraduate Applicants
The qualifications for appearing for CLAT 2025 to get admission to undergraduate programs are as follows.
- Candidate should have passed 12th with at least a minimum 45% aggregate for Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories.
- The candidate should have passed the 12th board examinations with a minimum score of 40% aggregate for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
- Candidates appearing in the 12th class board examination in March/ April of 2025 are also eligible to appear in CLAT entrance exam 2025. Still, the candidate needs to show evidence of them clearing the qualifying examination at the time of admission.

Qualification Criteria for Postgraduate Applicants
CLAT applicants must be eligible based on the following criteria for the postgraduate programs offered through CLAT 2025.
- Candidate should have graduated from a related course (LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exams) with a minimum 55% aggregate score for Unreserved, OBC, or Specially Abled Persons (SAP) categories.
- Candidate should have graduated from a related course (LL.B./Five-Year Integrated LL.B. (Hons.)/ any other equivalent exams) with a minimum 50% aggregate score for Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
- Candidates appearing for the final year examination of their bachelor's degree are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2025 entrance examination. Still, the candidate needs to show evidence of clearing the qualifying examination during the counselling.

CLAT Exam Centres 2025
The Consortium of National Law Universities have added two new exam cities that are Diu and Silvassa to the CLAT exam centres 2025 list. In addition, the conducting body for CLAT 2025 has made changes in 2 Bhopal exam centres.
The conducting body will also release exam day instructions for candidates belonging to the PwD/SAP categories. The candidates must arrange a scribe based on the eligibility listed by the conducting body and inform the Regional Coordinator and Zonal Coordinator of the exam centre chosen before the last date.
These candidates will be given an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam. The candidates must go through the instructions and complete the formalities to appear for the exam.
CLAT 2025 exam instructions will be released by the official authority on the official website. CLAT 2025 will be held in about 66 cities across the country. Candidates can choose the city where they reside and/ or the ones closest to their place of residence when filling CLAT 2025 application form.
They will be asked to mention three cities where it will be most convenient for them to appear for the exam, in the order of preference.
ID Proof: It is mandatory to carry a valid photo ID proof and the hall ticket to CLAT exam centre. The authorities will try their best to provide a CLAT exam centre in the city of the candidate's first preference. However, the authority reserves all rights to allocate the candidate a test centre in any of the three cities they have already chosen.

CLAT Counselling 2025
The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will announce the CLAT Counselling 2025. The counselling schedule for 2025 is yet to be announced by the conducting authority. However, the official date list will be shared once it is released.
CLAT Counselling 2025 will have five rounds, and the counselling procedure is conducted online on a centralized system for UG and PG programs. After each round, the consortium will announce the CLAT seat allotment.
- Seat Allotment: The seat allotment will be done on a merit-cum-preference basis. This means that the admissions are done based on CLAT 2025 rank, the order of preference given by the candidate in CLAT 2025 application form the category/ categories selected by the candidate in the online application form and the number of seats and their division/ break-up as available in each of the participating NLU.
- Counselling Fees: Candidates must deposit INR 50,000 to secure allotted seats during the admission procedure.
The candidates must prepare a folder of all the documents they would require at the time of counselling.
Additionally, CLAT 2024 counselling fourth provisional allocation list has been released by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) for 5-year LLB and LLM programs.
