Latest Changes Regarding JEE Main 2022
NTA has altered and introduced some new changes for the JEE Main 2022 exam. Candidates need to check this section before applying for the exam.

Choice of Cities | The choice of cities will be available only after the candidates enter their permanent and present addresses. |

JEE Main 2022 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates appearing for JEE Main 2022 exam must know the eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Further, if any candidate fails to meet the eligibility criteria, the examination authorities will reject the application form.
Age Criteria
There are no age boundaries for candidates appearing for JEE Main 2022. Candidates who have appeared for 12 or equivalent in 2020, 2021, or appearing in 2022 can apply for the exam. However, candidates must satisfy the age criteria of the particular institute(s) for which they are aiming to take admission.
Nationality
Indian nationals/ OCI/ PIO/ Foreign nationals can apply for IIT JEE Main 2022.
Academic Qualifications
- Candidates must pass their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates who passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2019 or before and those who will appear in such examination in 2023 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE Main 2022.
- The candidates appearing for B.Tech/ B.E must have the following subjects in their 10+2:
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject)
- The candidates appearing for B. Arch must have the following subjects in their 10+2:
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
- The candidates appearing for B. Plan must have had Mathematics in their 10+2.
Number of Attempts
Candidates can appear for the JEE Main examination for three consecutive years.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs
Candidates who have qualified their 10+2 with a minimum of 75% marks or were in the top 20% of their respective boards with the following subjects are eligible for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.

JEE Main 2022 Answer Key
The answer key will be released after the JEE Main 2022 exam concludes. NTA releases the answer keys with the correct answers. Additionally, the authority will also release the scanned copy of the OMR sheet of students to tally it with the answer keys.

How to Download JEE Main 2022 Answer Key?

- Next, candidates must enter their JEE Main application form number and date of birth.
- Afterwards, click on the submit button to view the answer keys on the screen.
- Further, candidates will be able to download the answer key as a PDF file.
How to Challenge the JEE Main 2022 Answer Key?
Candidates will be able to challenge the answer keys if they find any answer dubious. NTA will provide the opportunity to challenge the provisional answer keys for a week after it is released. The candidates have to pay INR 200 for challenging each answer.
The fee is non-refundable. However, suppose the answers challenged by the candidates are found to be correct. In that case, the money will be refunded to the candidate.
Besides, here are the steps to challenge the answer keys:
- Candidates must log in by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
- Next, select the option of ‘Challenge Answer Key’.
- Further, enter booklet number, question number, answer, and claimed answer. Then, add to the claims list.

Candidates can follow the steps to access the JEE Main 2022 results:

- Next, enter JEE Main 2022 application number, password/ date of birth, and security pin.

JEE Main Cutoff 2022

JEE Main 2022 Counselling
JoSAA will conduct the JEE Main 2022 counselling. There will be a facility of mock counselling rounds to make the candidates aware of the whole process. However, only the eligible candidates can participate in the counselling round. Further, the shortlisted candidates will receive the counselling schedule.
JEE Main 2022 Counselling Process
The JEE Main counselling process 2022 will be held in stages. Candidates will be required to start the process by registering themselves. Following are the steps:
Step 1: JEE Main Counselling Registration
- Candidates must visit the official website of JoSAA.
- Next, log in using the roll number.
- The registration form for JoSAA will be displayed on the screen.
- Afterwards, candidates must read the instructions carefully and click the 'I Accept' button.
- Further, fill in the registration form minutely.
- Click on the 'Declaration'.
- Now, click the 'Submit' button and proceed to 'Confirm Registration'.
Step 2: Online Choice Filling and Locking
- Once the registration process is completed. Candidates can proceed to select the institute name, institute type, and academic program they want to enrol in.
- Next, click on the 'Choice filling and locking option.'
- Now select the college and the course.
- Lastly, click on the 'Save' button.
Step 3: JoSAA 2022 Seat Allotment
- After completing the choice filling and locking of seats, JoSAA will send the seat allotment letter via SMS or Email.
- Candidates will be allotted seats according to their category, All India Ranking, reservation norms, choice filling, and vacancies.
- Further, candidates are advised to download the seat allotment letter.
Step 4: Fee Payment and Seat Acceptance
- Candidates are requested to pay the acceptance fee for the seat allotment.
- The mode of payment for seat acceptance can be through a Credit/ Debit Card or by Net Banking.
