Latest Changes in JEE Main 2023
The National Testing Agency has introduced several changes for the JEE Main 2023 exam. Candidates must check out these changes before applying for JEE Main 2023.

JEE Main 2023 Answer Key
After the JEE Main 2023 is concluded, the answer key will be released. NTA releases answer keys along with the scanned copy of the OMR sheet for students to match their answers. Additionally, candidates will be able to determine their probable scores and raise objections based on the answer keys.
How to Download JEE Main 2023 Answer Key?
Once the exam concludes, the JEE Main answer key 2023 will be made available online. The steps for downloading the answer keys are given below.
- Go to the official website.
- Next, click on the link for the answer key on the official website.
- Candidate must then enter their JEE Main application form number and birth date.
- Afterwards, click on ‘submit’ in order to view the answer keys on your screen.
- Further, candidates will also have the option to download the answer key in PDF format.
How to Challenge the JEE Main 2023 Answer Key?
Candidates get an opportunity to challenge the answer keys if they are doubtful about any answer. Once the provisional answer keys are released, NTA allows candidates to challenge the answer keys for one week. The fee for challenging each answer is INR 200.
Note that the fee cannot be refunded. However, candidates will be refunded their money if their challenged answers are found to be correct. The following steps can be taken to challenge the answer keys:
- Firstly, visit the official website and log in with your Application Number and Date of Birth/Password.
- Next, click on the ‘Challenge Answer Key’ option.
- Then, enter all the details like question number, booklet number, answer, and claimed answer.

NTA will announce the results once both the JEE Main 2023 exam sessions are concluded, answer keys are released, and any issues pertaining to the answer keys are resolved. Candidates can go to the official website to check their results.

To access the JEE Main results 2023, candidates must follow the steps given below:
- Go to the official website of JEE Main: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Then click on the 'View JEE Main 2023 Result' option.
- Afterwards, enter your JEE Main 2023 application number, password, and security pin.
- Next, submit all the details.
- Now, you will find your results displayed on the screen.

JEE Main 2023 Cutoff
JEE Main 2023 Cutoff has been released for multiple rounds. The cutoff will be separated into a qualifying cutoff and an admission cutoff. Candidates will be able to access the opening and closing ranks from the official website of JOSAA.
- The qualifying JEE Main cutoff will be released by NTA.
- JoSAA will announce the admission cutoff for NITs, IIITs and other GFTIs.
JEE Main 2023 Counselling
JEE Main counselling 2023 will be organised by JoSAA. Candidates will be able to take part in mock counselling rounds to gain a better understanding of the entire process. However, the counselling round is only open to eligible candidates. Furthermore, those who are shortlisted will be notified of the details of the counselling schedule.
JEE Mains 2023 Counselling Process
Several stages will be involved in the JEE Main 2023 counselling process. Candidates will be required to register themselves to start the process. The steps for the counselling process are as follows:
Step 1: Registration for JEE Mains 2023 Counselling
- Candidates must go to the official website of JoSAA.
- Next, log in by entering the roll number.
- Candidates will be able to view the JoSAA registration form on the screen.
- Now, carefully read the instructions and click on the 'I Accept' button.
- Further, fill out the registration form and make sure you enter all the relevant details.
- Click on the 'Declaration'.
- Lastly, proceed to 'Confirm Registration' by clicking the 'Submit' button.
Step 2: Online Choice Filling and Locking
- Upon completion of the registration process for JEE Main 2023 counselling, the next step is to select the institution name, institute type, and the choice of academic program.
- Now, click on the 'Choice filling and locking option.'
- Then select the preferred college and the program.
- Finally, click on the 'Save' button.
Step 3: JoSAA 2023 Seat Allotment
- JoSAA will send the seat allocation letter through SMS or email once the choices have been filled in and the seats have been locked.
- Candidates will be allocated seats based on their category, All India Ranking, vacancies, choice filling, and reservation norms.
- Further, candidates are recommended to download the seat allotment letter.
Step 4: Payment of Fee and Seat Acceptance
- In order to be allotted a seat, candidates are required to pay an acceptance fee.
- Payments can be made through a credit/debit card or through net banking for seat acceptance.
- Candidates should also download the fee payment slip. The receipt serves as proof that fees have been paid.
- A provisional admission letter will be issued to the candidates at the end of the counselling process once all the steps have been completed.
Step 5: Reporting to the Allotted Institute
- Candidates must report to their allocated colleges on the assigned dates and time slots.
- They are also advised to carry original documents and certificates to complete the admission process.
