JEE Main 2025 exam dates for session 1 and session 2 have been announced by the National Testing Agency. The JEE Main Session 1 2025 will be held from Jan 22-31, 2025 while Session 2 will be conducted between Apr 01-08, 2025

JEE Main 2025 registration process for session 1 began on Oct 28, 2024 and the last date to apply is Nov 22, 2024. Candidates qualified for the JEE Mains 2025 can register on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. to secure admissions in top IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs.

The JEE Main 2025 exam pattern has been revised by the conducting authority. As per the new exam pattern, the optional questions in the section B are discontinued and all the 5 questions are made mandatory in both paper 1 and paper 2. The NTA has also made some revisions in the marking scheme and number of questions in each section. 

For the B.Arch and B.Plan papers, except for the drawing test, the sections will be conducted online only. Additionally, the JEE Main official website 2025 has been changed from jeemain.nta.ac.in to jeemain.nta.nic.in

JEE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who appeared for the JEE Main 2025, were required to make sure that they fulfil the JEE Main eligibility requirements shared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). How to Download JEE Main 2025 Admit Card?

JEE Main Hall Ticket 2025 will not be sent to any candidate's residential address. Instead, candidates need to download it through the official website. The steps for the same are shared below.

• Step 1: Candidates must go to the NTA JEE Main's 2025 official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
• Step 2: They must find the "Download admit card" link on the homepage, and click on it.
• Step 3: Applicants will now be directed to a login link.
• Step 4: They must enter their application numbers, date of birth, password, and security PIN correctly.
• Step 5: The candidates can now view and download their JEE Main 2025 hall tickets.
• Step 6: They must cross-check all the details on the admit card before downloading it.

JEE Main 2025 Self Declaration

The candidates must complete and carry the self-declaration form on the day of the examination. The JEE Main Self Declaration Form is printed on the JEE Main admit card's first page, which contains the details of the candidate's health status and travel history.

The candidates are required to declare the following details.

• Details of any symptoms of cough, fever, breathlessness, sore throat, runny nose, or body ache in the last 14 days.
• Information regarding any contact with a COVID-19-positive person in the last 14 days.

JEE Main Exam Centres 2025

Candidates for session 1 JEE Main Paper 1 and 2 could access their exam city slip on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates registered for the JEE Mains 2025 exam were able to download the advance city intimation slip using the login credentials generated at the time of registration.

NTA had revised the JEE Main exam centres 2025 list. As per the latest notification, JEE Main exam centres have been reduced from 394 to 300. Several existing exam cities have been removed from Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, including 2 Union Territories - Chandigarh and Daman & Diu.

JEE Main NTA exam was conducted in 25 foreign cities as NTA added 15 foreign cities as JEE Main exam centres. NTA has introduced 3 more test centres, which are based in India (Kargil, Ladakh) and overseas, at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Abuja/ Lagos in Nigeria. In addition, Abu Dhabi was added as an exam centre after considering the request raised by the Ambassador of India, Abu Dhabi.

JEE Main exam centres 2025 are based in all the major cities across India. However, the candidates may choose up to JEE Main 4 centres where they would prefer to take the exam of JEE Main NIC IN. NTA will make the best efforts to allocate the JEE Main exam centre 2025 in the order of preference.

NTA JEE Mains 2025 Exam Pattern

The JEE exam has four papers and each subject will have two sections. Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), and section B will contain questions with numerical values as answers.

JEE Main JoSAA Counselling 2025

JEE Main 2025 counselling process will be conducted by JoSAA. The counselling schedule will be released on the official website at josaa.nic.in. 

The candidates need to meet the eligibility conditions laid out by the institute to which they want admission. In addition, they should secure a minimum of 75% marks in their 12th standard board examination or be one among the top 20 percentile in their All India Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.

JEE Main admission process for each institute shall vary from the other. Hence, candidates must visit the JoSAA/CSAB or the concerned state university website for updates regarding JEE Main counselling. Before applying for JEE Main counselling, applicants must understand the ranking and dual allotment systems.

JEE Main 2025 Seat Allocation Procedure

Aspirants are offered admission by following the JEE Main 2025 seat allocation procedure. They will be given seats based on their JEE Main AIR ranks and their choice of courses.

JEE Main 2025 Reservation

As per the rules laid out by the Government of India, a fixed percentage of seats is reserved for specific categories. JEE Main applicants who belong to these categories are also given several relaxations in age and marks scored in the qualifying examination.

Provisions for Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

JEE Main applicants must specify the type and percentage of their disability accurately in the online form for JEE Main 2025.

• Scribe/Reader: JEE Main 2025 applicants who have a disability that exceeds the 39% mark have the discretion of opting for a scribe or a reader. Candidates may submit the request to the JEE Main exam centre superintendent for the same.
• Essentials for Reader or Scribe: Once the request is made, JEE Main centre superintendent will identify the scribe/reader. The candidate would be permitted to meet the scribe one day before to JEE Main 2025 examination to verify the scribe's suitability.

JEE 2025 Slot Booking

JEE Main slot booking 2025 process is not available for the registered students. Currently, no candidates are allowed to book slots manually. The exam date and time are scheduled by the NTA.

The exam centres are allotted as per the preferences chosen by the students during the registration process. JEE Main admit card are issued to all the registered candidates and it includes exam date, duration, shift, exam centre details, and more. 

NTA JEE Mains 2025 Response Sheet

JEE Main 2025 response sheets for the exam have been released along with the provisional answer key on the official website on Feb 6, 2025. The response sheet is the official copy of students' responses to the JEE Main questions asked in the JEE Main exam.

The JEE Main response sheet is released within 5 days after the National Testing Agency conducts JEE Main exam. Candidates should remember that the JEE Main response sheet and JEE Main answer key are two different things. The details for the same are shared below.

JEE Main 2025 Candidate Queries

This section addresses the general queries put forward by the applicants for JEE Main 2025.

• JEE Main Education Criteria: JEE Main educational criteria of a minimum of 75% marks in class 12 are expected to be waived off for this year. Applicants must note that the requirement of this particular criteria may not be there for JEE Main; however, it will be required for admissions to the accepting JEE Main colleges.
• Reduction in Number of Sessions for JEE Main: Candidates can expect a reduction/change in the number of attempts for JEE Main 2025; NTA is most likely to consider this change concerning the COVID-19 situation. However, no official information was announced.
• Changes in Exam Pattern for JEE Main: NTA changed the exam pattern of JEE Main in 2025 by increasing the total number of questions per subject in JEE Main paper 1 and allowing internal choices within the questions. Any further information related to the changes in JEE Main 2025 will be given in the brochure.
