JEE Main 2024 Result - Calculation Methodology
The JEE Main 2024 Results Paper 1 will be calculated along with the NTA scores by normalization of the raw marks obtained by the candidate. The JEE Main exam takes place in shifts.
Hence, the normalization procedure will be based on the percentile score and will help to adjust the difficulty level of different slots of the examination. Percentile scores are based on the collective performance of all candidates appearing for the examination.
NTA will convert raw marks into percentile scores that will be used to create a category-wise rank list. Marks obtained by candidates will be transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
The calculation will also take place considering up to seven decimal places which will reduce the chances of ties.
The calculation process will be based on:
- Raw Scores of every candidate
- Percentiles Scores in each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total score.
