Calculation Methodology for JEE Main 2025 Result
The JEE Main 2025 Results Paper 1 is calculated along with the NTA scores by normalization of the raw marks obtained by the candidate. The JEE Main exam takes place in different shifts.
Hence, the normalization procedure is based on the percentile score and helps to adjust the difficulty level of different slots of the examination. Percentile scores are based on the collective performance of all candidates appearing for the examination.
NTA converts raw marks into percentile scores that are used to create a category-wise rank list. Marks obtained by candidates are then transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees.
The calculation also takes place considering up to seven decimal places which reduces the chances of ties. The calculation process is based on the following:
- Raw Scores of every candidate
- Percentiles Scores in each of the three subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry) and the total score.
