All the NLUs offer a wide array of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the field of law.

List of NLUs in India 2024: According to the National Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024, 11 out of 26 NLUs ranked among the best law colleges in India. The top three places for law schools in India belong to NLSIU Bangalore, NLU Delhi, and NALSAR Hyderabad.
The 26 NLUs make up the list of NLUs in India. The National Law Universities are India's most prestigious law schools. Various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in law are offered across all NLUs.

NLUs Eligibility Criteria 2024
The following are the eligibility requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate legal courses provided by NLUs:
For UG Students
NLUs have different eligibility criteria for their undergraduate students. Below are the criteria for the undergraduate students to take admissions in NLUs:
- NLU admissions are open to those who have passed or are scheduled to take the Class 12 qualifying exams.
- General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI category students must get at least 45% on the qualifying test.
- SC/ ST category students are given a 5% reduction in the minimum qualifying marks, requiring them to score at least 40% in 10+2.
For PG Students
There are different eligibility criteria for postgraduate students that students should consider while applying for NLU. Below are some of the criteria:
- An LLB degree or its equivalent from a recognised law school or university.
- General/ OBC/ PWD/ NRI/ PIO/ OCI categories must have scored at least 55% on their qualifying law degree.
- SC/ST categories require a minimum of 50% or an equivalent grade.
- Candidates who are currently enrolled in their last year of law school are also eligible to apply.

NLUs Fee Structure 2024
The annual costs for undergraduate legal programmes at NLUs range from INR 1.5 - 2.62 LPA. The annual costs for LLM programmes range from INR 1.13 - 1.89 LPA.
The annual fees at top-ranked NLUs tend to be more because they provide a variety of services in addition to regular classes.
