Chanakya National Law University, [CNLU] Patna was established in the year 2006. It was established in the view to raise national legal standards to a competitive international level and to promote legal awareness in the community and quality legal education. It is approved by University Grant Commission [UGC]. The college is accredited "A Grade" by National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] and National Institutional Research Framework [NIRF]. The NIRF ranking 2024 has placed the CNLU at 31st place among law colleges. CNLU shares this place with MNLU, Mumbai for 2024. 

The University offers courses in the field of Law. Along with this, the college has got state of the art infrastructure facilities. The teaching faculty and the administrative staff of the university are formed by the retired judges from Supreme Court, Lower Courts, Senior Advocates, Educationalists, and Judiciaries. • Students can fill the Application Form from the college website and should pay a fee of INR 2,500/- [for General/ OBC/ Specially-abled Category] and INR 2,000/- [for SC/ ST Category] towards the entrance examination fee
• This fee is non-refundable
