The Central University of South Bihar was established in the year 2009. The university is accredited with an ‘A’ grade by the NAAC. CUSB admissions 2022-2023 are ongoing. It accepts the CUET exam for various courses like BA, B.Sc, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, LLB, etc. Candidates who took the CUET entrance exam can apply online at the university's official website. CUET UG 2024 exam will be held from May 15, 2024 to May 31, 2024. CUET 2024 application form will be released in the first week of February 2024 (tentatively). CUET PG 2024 exam will be conducted between March 11, 2024 and March 28, 2024. CUET PG 2024 online registration is expected to start in the first week of January, 2024. GATE 2024 exam will be held between February 3, 2024 and February 11, 2024.

Central University of South Bihar, Gaya, India, is one among 54 such universities of the Federal Government, which come under the purview of the Department of Higher Education under the Ministry of Education of the Government of India. Central University of South Bihar is an institution of higher learning in the state of Bihar. With the motto, i.e. ‘Collective Reasoning’ the University has been conducting its academic and administrative activities from a permanent campus on a 300-acre plot of land at Panchanpur, situated about 15 km away from Gaya town.

Central University of South Bihar (CUSB) has secured 15th position among 40 central universities in the country, rankings of which were released by the union ministry of education in 2022. Some of the other CUSB's ranking include

• CUSB has been ranked 1st and 56th positions by EWI Bihar and EWI India respectively.
• Central University of South Bihar has defeated Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, by scoring 63% while the latter stood at 23rd position with 59%. In the neighboring state, the Central University of Jharkhand has scored 40%.

CUSB Admission

CUSB admission 2022-2023 is ongoing. It offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate as well as Ph.D. courses including BA, B.Sc, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, LLB, etc.  Eligibility criteria are based on the CUET scores which are considered for admission into all Central Universities.  Admission to each of these courses is based on the student's placement on the merit list for the relevant exam they take.

CUSB Eligibility Criteria

CUSB only accepts applicants who meet the requirements. Additionally, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria to be considered for admission to the university. The following list includes some of the courses' eligibility requirements.

B.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• The student must have passed 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• The student must have a valid score in CUET-UG.

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidates are required to have a full-time Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks.
• Candidates must have a valid score in the CUET-PG.

Ph.D. Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have passed undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in the desired field with a minimum of 55% marks for reserved category students.
