NTA Announcements 2024: As per the official announcement by NTA, the upcoming NTA exam is JEE Main (Session 2), which will be conducted from Apr 4 to 15, 2024. The registration process for the exam will be concluded on Mar 2, 2024.
NTA exams announcements stated that all the major competitive examinations. So, the decision made to make the National Testing Agency (NTA) an autonomous body was discussed in the Union budget for 2017-18.
According to the union budget, NTA got autonomous status in 2020.
NTA Announcements 2024
The Union Cabinet approved the setting up of the National Testing Agency (NTA), an Indian Government agency, to conduct the entrance examinations for higher education.
Thus, relieving the educational bodies from conducting examinations such as the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

NTA (National Testing Agency)
National Testing Agency has been established as a premier, specialist, and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations in India.
The vision stated in the NTA notification is to make the right candidates join the best institutions that will give India her demographic dividend. The objectives of NTA public notice are given below:
- To administer efficient, transparent, and international standards tests.
- To initiate research on educational, professional, and testing systems.
- To recognize experts and institutions in setting examination questions.
- To generate and broadcast information and research on education and professional development standards.
Frequency of Exams
- National Testing Agency decided to conduct some of the entrance examinations multiple times a year. The candidates don't need to appear for both times.
Exams like JEE and UGC NET will be conducted multiple times a year and the best scores would be considered. - UGC NET 2024 - conducted in July and December.
JEE Main 2024 - conducted in January and April.
Choice of Dates
The examination will be conducted in a span of 4 to 5 days and the applications have the liberty to choose the dates according to their convenience.
Mode of Exam
- All the exams will be Computer Based Tests.
- Every candidate is provided with a computer and they are required to enter the login details to proceed with the exam.
- The candidates can make changes in their answers anytime during the examination which is not a privilege in offline exams (OMR Sheet).
- A countdown timer will be running on the top right corner of the computer screen.
- When the timer reaches zero, the examination will end by itself.
NOTE: Students need not worry about the time spent to rectify any of the technical glitches, such as power breakdown, and computer freeze.
There will be highly trained professionals to help out the candidates in case of these issues, and the time spent rectifying the glitches would be compensated.
NTA JEE MAIN 2024
NTA conducts the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE Main) now, which was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018. It is applicable for admission to NITs, IIITs and CFTIs participating through Central Seat Allocation Board.

NTA NEET 2024
The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) is conducted by the NTA from 2019 onwards which was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) till 2018.
It is applicable for admission to MBBS/ BDS Courses in India in Medical/ Dental Colleges administered with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India except for the institutions authorized through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.
The responsibility of the NTA will be restricted to the conduct of the entrance examination, the publication of result and presenting All India Rank to the Directorate General Health Services, Government of India for the conduct of counselling for 15% of All India Quota Seats and for supplying the result to state/other Counselling Authorities.

NTA CMAT 2024
Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination for admission into management programs which was conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) till 2018. However, the exam is now conducted by NTA.
It is a three-hour computer-based online test that is conducted in a single session to assess the student's capability across several sections like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension, and General Awareness which helps Institutions to pick suitable graduate candidates for admission in all Management programs.
Eligibility for CMAT 2024
Students who wants to pursue CMAT 2024 exam must qualify the eligibility criteria for 2024 as listed below.
- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Graduates in any discipline can apply for CMAT exam.
- Final year students of Graduate Courses (10+2+3) whose results will be announced before the commencement of admission for the academic year 2022-23 are also eligible to apply for the exam.

NTA GPAT 2024
The Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level entrance examination for admission into M.Pharm programs conducted by NTA from 2019. This exam helps institutions to choose suitable Pharmacy graduates for admission into the Master's (M.Pharm) program.
It is a three-hour online test which is conducted in a single session. The test score is admitted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
There are some scholarships and other financial assistance in the field of Pharmacy which are given based on the GPAT score.
Eligibility for GPAT 2024
Students who want to appear for GPAT 2024 exam must qualify the GPAT eligibility criteria 2024 which are as listed below.
- The candidate must be an Indian Citizen.
- The applicant must be a Bachelor's degree holder in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates)
- The exam can also be attended by those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course.
- B. Tech (Pharmaceutical and fine chemical technology) or Equivalent Students does not possess the eligibility to attend the examination.

NTA UGC NET 2024
The National Eligibility Test (NTA NET) is conducted for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Assistant Professor, Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor both in Indian Universities and Colleges.
Previously it was conducted by CBSE across 91 selected cities of the country which will be carried by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The NTA was established by the Ministry of Human REsource Development.
Additionally, it has been iteratively termed to be one of the toughest examinations in India after (UPSC) Union Public Service Commission, where the percentage is roughly around 3-6% per each session.
The NET exam toughness is much higher when compared to other exams like GATE (15% -16%), IIT JEE(15%-25%).
Eligibility for UGC NET 2024
The eligibility criteria for UGC NET 2024 are listed below. Candidates must satisfy all these to appear for the exam.
- Students who have scored at least 55% marks in Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC in Humanities (including languages)
and Social Science, Computer Science & Applications, Electronic Science, etc. are eligible for this exam. - The Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), persons with disability (PWD) category applicants who have scored at least 50% marks in Master's degree or equivalent examination also possess the eligibility.
- Students who are pursuing their Master's degree or equivalent course or students who have appeared for the examination and waiting for the result or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed due to any reason are also eligible to apply for this test.
- Candidates belonging to the third gender in other words transgender are also eligible to draw the same relaxation in fee, age and qualifying criteria for NET (i.e. Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor) as are available to SC/ST/PWD categories.
- The PhD degree holders whose Master's level examination had been completed by 19th September 1991 (irrespective of the date of declaration of result) are eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks (i.e. from 55% to 50%) to attend NET.

NTA AIAPGET
AIAPGET is a national level entrance examination. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and Government of India (GOI) has appointed NTA (National Testing Agency) for handling AIAPGET (All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test) examination.
Candidates who want to pursue MS/MD courses offered by AYUSH, need to appear for AIAPGET 2024. The exam will include all the subjects taught during BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS course as prescribed by CCH/CCIM.
Eligibility for AIAPGET 2024
Candidates who are appearing for the AIAPGET exam need to satisfy the following eligibility.
- Candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in their undergraduate program.
- Further, candidates must possess BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS/ Graded BHMS degree or provisional BAMS/BSMS/BUMS/BHMS pass certificate that is recognized according to the provisions of the HCC 1973/ IMCC 1970 Act and possess permanent/provisional registration certificate of BAMS/ BSMS/ BUMS/ BHMS/ Graded BHMS issued by CCIM/ CCH/ universities/ deemed universities/ state board.
- Candidates who will be completing their internship before the counselling date of AIAPGET starts are eligible.
- Candidates who have completed their one year of internship to be eligible for AIAPGET 2024.

NTA NCHM JEE
National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) is a national level exam organised by NTA (National Testing Agency) for the candidates to get admission into a B.Sc. course in Hospitality and Hotel Administration.
The exam contains 200 objective type questions and 4 marks are awarded for every correct answer and 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
Eligibility for NCHMCT JEE 2024
Before applying to the NCHMCT JEE 2024 candidates must have submitted their physical fitness certificate approved by a registered medical practitioner as mentioned on the official website.
- Candidates should have cleared the 10th and 12th level of the exam with English as a compulsory subject.
- Additionally, candidates appearing for the final exam and awaiting final results are also eligible to apply for the exam.
- Candidates who have finished 12 years of official schooling in order are eligible to apply for the program.
- The upper age limit for General & OBC candidates is 22 years as of 1st August 2024 and the age limit for SC/ST is 25 years as of 1st August 2024.

NTA JNUEE 2024
The Jawaharlal Nehru University was established in 1969 under the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act 1966.
The University approach has been to evolve in terms of policies and programs which will make JNU a distinct addition to the national resources in higher education. JNU admissions are completely based on the All India Level Entrance Examination.
The final selection is based upon the performance of candidates in the CBT for all programs of study, except M.Phil. and Ph.D. For Selection in M.Phil. and Ph.D. through CBT mode, candidates are called for viva-voce and the final merit list is made with 70% weightage to CBT score and 30% weightage to viva.
NTA JNUEE Eligibility
NTA JNUEE eligibility varies with UG, PG, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Certified, and Ph.D. degrees. Whereas the age limit for these degrees set by JNUEE is the candidate should have a minimum age limit of 17 years as on 1 October 2024 for B.A. (Hons.) program and there is no age bar for any other program.
