Neerja Bhanot

Neerja Bhanot, Ashoka Chakra recipient, born in Chandigarh, brought up in Mumbai. On 5th September 1986, she died while saving passengers on Pan Am Flight 73, which terrorists hijacked during a stopover in Karachi, Pakistan. Neerja is known to become the youngest recipient of India's highest peacetime gallantry.

Neerja completed her early schooling at Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School in Chandigarh after her family shifted to Mumbai; she continued her schooling at Bombay Scottish School and graduated from St. Xavier's College Mumbai. Bhanot applied for the flight attendant job at Pan Am, and she was dedicated; hence, she pursued training as a flight attendant at Miami, Florida. Bhanot was the Senior Flight Purser on Pan Am Flight 73 when the incident took place.

Pankaj Udhas is a ghazal singer who originated from Gujrat in India started his career releasing the album Aahat in 1980. After so many successful poems and odes, he got an invitation from the Bollywood director Mahesh Bhatt with an opportunity to sing in the film "Naam" in 1986. From there, his fame rose to the level no one could imagine.

In 2006, Pankaj Udhas was awarded Padma Shri, i.e., India's fourth-highest civilian award. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Wilson and St.Xavier College, from where he started training in Indian classical vocal music under the guardianship of Master Navrang.

Anu Aga

Anu Aga is a well-known Businesswoman and a Social worker who leads Theriyuax Pvt Ltd. She was noted among the eight richest women in India, and in 2007 she was in the list of 40 richest Indians by net worth, as per Forbes. She graduated with a BA in Economics from St.Xaviers, Mumbai; later, she completed a postgraduate degree in medical and psychiatric social studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

The All Ladies League awarded Anu Aga with the 'Mumbai Women of the Decade Achievers' Award. Later after she announced retirement from Thermax, she accepted social work as her life. In 2010 she received the Padma Shri for Social work from the Government of India. At present, she is the chairperson for Teach for India. The highest achievement was when she was nominated Rajya Sabha, The upper house of the Indian Parliament, on 26th April 2012 by then President Pratibha Patil.

Rajdeep Sardesai

Rajdeep Dilip Sardesai is a consulting editor at the Indian Today group and the primetime show host on India Today Television. He was also a Chief Editor of Global Broadcast News but resigned in July 2014.

The government of India awarded Rajdeep with 'The Padmashri' in 2008. Besides, he also gained the International Broadcasters award for the 2002 Gujrath riots' coverage in 2006 with Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism award for 2006. Lastly, in ENBA awards, he received lifetime achievement awards for his excellent journalism service for these many years. Sardesai pursued a bachelor's course in economics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.

Kavitha Krishnamurthy is the famous Indian Playback singer who has sung in almost all languages in India, including Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, English, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujrathi, Nepali, Bengali, Assamese, Konkani, Odia, Urdu, and many more. She has spent more than 30 years recording more than 25,000 songs in 16 languages in a career span of 30 years.

Kavitha has been awarded Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Awards for three consecutive years from 1994 to 1996 and received Padma Shri in 2005. Kavita Krishnamurthy is an alumnus of St. Xavier's College, and she pursued her BA Honors in Economics.

Anil Kapoor, an Indian actor and producer, has appeared in over 100 Bollywood films, international films, and television series. He was born on 24th December 1956 in Chembur, India, and completed his undergraduate degree at St. Xavier's College. He made his debut in 1970, playing a young Shashi Kapoor in "Tu Payal Mein in Geet."

He won the Mashaal Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award, Excellence in World Cinema Award in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Television Academy Awards Best Actor-Drama, and Indian Television Academy Awards.

Shabana Azmi is a popular Indian actress in film and theatre. Azmi completed her graduation in Psychology from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, followed by doing a course in acting at Film and Television Institute of India, Pune.

Azmi received 5 National Awards, 6 Filmfare awards, eight times nominated for her amazing performance, four international awards, and in 1988 she received Padma Shri from the Government Of India. Ashok Kamte

Ashok Kamte completed his bachelor's degree from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and then postgraduate in Arts from Stephen's College, Delhi. 

In 1989 Kamte joined the state as an Indian Police Service Officer; later on, there was no looking back. During the Mumbai attack on 26th November 2008, he served the country as Additional Commissioner of Police, East Zone, Mumbai. In 2009, he received Ashoka Chakra for his bravery and sacrifice during the Mumbai Attack, which his wife received on behalf of him.
