Placements & Internships : No internships offered through the college. IT companies like Tech Mahindra, etc., hire on campus. Average salary per year is 3 lakhs per annum. No higher salaries that I've heard of. The college does have a placement and training cell, which still hasn't flexed its muscles in industries other than IT. I'm not aware of any active Alumni network, at least for our branch (there have only been 2 outgoing batches till date from our branch, which is in its 6th year).

Academics & Faculty : Not a very satisfying experience I would say( not counting the basic science department from our first year, they were pretty good, no research or anything though). The routine is very monotonous, 52 hours of classes per week, no challenging assignments, no enlightening seminars or the sort. Internal tests are according to standard VTU schedule, so are the finals. Most faculty are approachable and friendly. There are no clubs or societies (SAE Collegiate Club is present, but non functioning), some extra coaching conducted by external agencies ,such as CADD Centre, are available, but only to 2013-17 batch at present. The crowd is a bore, only concerned with passing the semester and the few curious and inquisitive minds are supressed quickly. Only happening things are certain sports like basketball, kabbadi, cricket, etc. Labs are better equipped than those at most VTU colleges, so that's a plus. The library has the required course books, but barely enough to cater to everyone. The teaching is in typical VTU style - textbook IN, textbook OUT. At times, we may come across useful tit-bits relevant to the industry. The students, from the 3rd year onwards, get to go on 'industrial visits'. These are usually the plants that are located in the vicinity, but these provide a much needed change in the monotonous existence.   Canteen isn't satisfactory, neither are the eateries around the college(There are mixed opinions about this). The government buses ply well and since the college is situated on a highway, at least 16km of the journey is quick. There are also the regular fests (both departmental and college-level) every even semester.

Fees & Scholarships : Course fees:  Depends on the exam through which you have applied for the course. If its through K-CET, you have to pay the fees prescribed by the government, which is normally within INR 65,000 per year (only for the first year; the fees is less than INR 60K from year 2) If you come through COMED-K, though the fees is government prescribed, its a lot higher at around INR 1.2 lakhs. Management seat also cost the same as COMED-K seats. Scholarships: None, if you are from General category. Other categories can apply for the government offered scholarships.  Loans: None through the college, as far as I'm aware.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The college infrastucture isn't noteworthy. There is an administrative block, an older block which houses the original branches of CS, IS, EC, TC offered by the college and the newer block housing mechanical and civil departments. Then there is the library building and the sports section in the old building. It also has a basketball court, and two patches that serve as grounds for other sports( there is also a huge ground in the diploma college premises, which can also be used). There is only one mens hostel and no ladies hostel (on campus, there is a tie up with a private hostel somewhere in the city fro ladies, college transport available). There are PGs around the college, but none satisfactory. Better to stay in the city and commute to college. The public transport from and to the city is quite good and college buses are also avialable. Like I said earlier, there is divided opinion about the food available in the college canteen. Personally, i felt that it could have been better. Small eateries exist outside the campus, which are again, just satisfactory. The food is priced low, about Rs.20-60 depending on the menu item.  I've heard positive reviews about the food available in the men's hostel and the fees aren't exorbitant either. Classrooms are spacious, Labs well equipped, libraries are satisfactory. Lucky if you can catch the college's Wi-Fi signal.

Clubs & Associations : Very few clubs have their presence on campus.There are no Literary, Robotics, Aeronautics or other such intellectual collection of beings here, so sad luck. There is however, a non-functional SAE Collegiate club for Mechanical Dept. There may be other clubs, such as IEEE on campus, but I've not hearn of any as yet. You'd be delighted by the sports options though; no fancy equipment or other such stuff though. There are regular sports, cultural and departmental fests ever 2 semesters here, along with an annual college day function.  In general, life here is a bore, if you are not into any sports, casual or serious.
