Sanatan Dharma College which was later renamed Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma [ASRD] College was established in 1959 by Shri Sanatan Dharma Sabha (Rawalpindi). ASRD is a co-educational Constituent College of the University of Delhi. It is a premier educational institution of Delhi University. ASRD college draws attention to the quality of Human Resources and encourages productive ideas that help the students to be benefitted. ASRD college encourages women's education, obstacle-free education, non-discriminatory for all the members of the college. ASRD College is concerned with empowering the holistic development of all its stakeholders. ASRD College Botany:

The department of Botany has been the leading dept of teaching and research in plant sciences. The dept of Botany in association with the Zoology and Chemistry dept, circulates the teaching of B.Sc (Physical Science) to the students. The faculty members of this dept are experts in the areas like the physiology of growth & development, plant tissue culture, cytogenetic and morphogenesis studies. The dept has been successful in fulfilling the objective of imparting quality education. The quality of the dept is its faculty, who are experts and researchers from all the fields of plant sciences.

ASRD College Commerce:

The department offers all the programs in Commerce at the undergraduate level. The dept is responsible for imparting the practical knowledge of business, and generate deep learning of business through its research and interconnection. The faculties of the dept have been honored with the prestigious Teaching Excellence Award, Best Project Award, etc.

ASRD College Computer Science:

The degree provided by the dept helps the student gain knowledge in Information Technology and the core computer science subjects with mathematics, technical language, physics, and chemistry. The students are provided with exposure to emerging trends and technology. The dept has four computer laboratories that are well equipped with air conditioners and has 100 computers. • ASRD signed MoU with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises for the establishment of a Business Incubation Center.

• ASRD has a seminar room that has been newly updated.
• The ground and first floor of the college are earthquake-proof.
• The college has 3 science laboratories, a research laboratory, 14 classrooms, one conference room.

ASRD college is an outstanding college with highly experienced and qualified teaching staff. The college is involved in a lot of curricular and extra-curricular activities and organizes many events. And also has successfully completed many of the curricular projects. There are the activities of the college are:

• The college has a Dramatic society Rangayan that organizes a three-day festival titled "Rangshirish Jaidev Natya Samaroh".
• It has an active North-East Student Welfare that organizes Rainbow Fest a day-long Northeast festival.
• ASRD has different cells like placement cell, equal opportunity cell, women development cell, internal complaints committee, eco-club, etc for the vibrant societies and departmental associations.

• Taneja Foundation Scholarships have been awarded to the 10 deserving and meritorious students. The sum of money is a subsidy towards the admission fee.
• The 1st and 2nd position students in any course/class and the students who score min 60% in the annual examination are awarded scholarships and id given a recognition certificate.
• The student who holds the position from top 1 to 10 in any course or class is awarded Atma Ram Chadha Memorial Scholarship.

• The B.Sc (Hons) Electronics I/II/III year highest scorer student is awarded Raj Kumari Dhawan Memorial Prize.
• The academic topper from the III year B.A. (Hons) Economics is awarded Shyam Sunder Arora Memorial Prize.
• The academic topper in B.Com 2nd and 3rd year has instituted the Usha Aggarwal Tejaswi Scholarship.
• Sultan Chand Draupadi Devi Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the best student of B.Com (Hons) in 1st year.

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College Eligibility Criteria:

ASRD college has different eligibility criteria for different courses. The students are given admission based on the eligibility criteria and further go for other admissions procedures. The details about the eligibility criteria are given below:

Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College Admission:

ASRD Admission is based on cutoffs and entrance tests for a few courses. The cutoffs are mentioned on the official website. The qualification of the students needs to match the eligibility criteria to take admission in the college. The students need to register online for the courses they are interested in. The college has reserved seats for the students who are disabled, SC/ST categories, etc. There is no reservation in the courses where the admission is based on an entrance test. The students under the sports / ECA category can also apply. For foreign students, a separate website is available to apply. There is a 1% relaxation in cutoffs for the women candidates in all the courses.

Candidates are required to take a print out of their admission form while they come for the document verification and final computation. The students need to carry all their original documents with two sets of self-attested photocopies while they are coming to seek admission. The documents that the students should carry are class 10 certificate and mark sheet, class 12 certificate and mark sheet, character certificate, SCI ST/ PWD/ CW/ KM certificate issued by the competent authority, OBC (non-creamy layer) certificate, transfer certificate from school and migration certificate from university/board, at least two passport size self-attested photographs.

If the students provide any false attestation certificate then the students will be excluded from attending any course in the college. During the admission procedure, the documents will not be returned to the students immediately to avoid multiple admission. The document will be returned once the complete process is done. The college will then approve the admission on the portal of the UG admission portal. The students are required to pay their fees online by logging in to the UG admission portal through any of the given payment modes. The payment should be made within 12 noon of the next day of the given admission list deadline. The admission will be approved after the payment is successfully done.

In case a student wants to cancel his/her admission should first seek cancellation at the college. Once the college approves and cancels the admission, the students can proceed to seek admission at another college. The admission fee will be refunded by the college as per the college/university cancellation norms.
