Placements & Internships : We have very good placements in our college. I have not attended any internship but in the coming days surely I'm going to take part in it as I'm in the second year. but I have attended many workshops. many good companies visit our college. salary package will be starting from 3.5 LPA
Entrance Exams & Admissions : We have to write a cet exam to join our Canara engineering college and get pass marks in PCM subjects in PUC. had around 40,000 for our course.
Fees & Scholarships : Canara Engineering College, [CEC] Mangalore Bachelor of engineering Fee Structure. The fee for my course is Rs 80,000 per year. only obc scholarship is available to students whoever applies for that scholarship depending upon their annual income scholarship will be given. that minority scholarship will be given but not for all. no, I'm paying my fee through installment.
Academics & Faculty : Experience is good. yea off course we are getting quality education in our colleges our class start service from 9 to 4:30. we are doing only mini-projects.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 3 hostels available which are for boys. it cost 50,000 per year. there are 3 hotels available in our college which cost 30 Rs for meals. there is 2 to 3 pg available outside the college. libraries Labs and classroom quality are very good even smart classroom is available.
Clubs & Associations : The are many club benefits available in our college like NSS, innovation club, see, and many associations. Ayuda pooja and aakrithi which is a college fest which held for 3 days in our colleges. Technical competition is also organized. life in college is good.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : For girls there are 3 hostels, one is for juniors and the other is for seniors, Boys also have 2 hostels Pgs are nearer to the college. Classrooms, labs are very nice Food also it's very tasty.
Clubs & Associations : There are so many association clubs in college. In our college there is a festival called piligobbu, and akriti these are main fests in our college.

Placements & Internships : When I had passed out in 2014 there were companies which had come to our college to hire us. Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini and IBM were the big names.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : I got selected to the Canara Engineering College for Information Science Engineering, through COMEDK UGET.
Fees & Scholarships : As I had got admission through COMEDK UGET, I had to pay the course fee of INR 90,000 per year.
Academics & Faculty : Our classes were from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Most of the lecturers, who had taught us, were very young and just completed their post graduation. Quality of the teaching varies from person to person. However, it was average.
Clubs & Associations : There were sports clubs in our college since our college was organising sports competitions. Apart from that they also organise intercollege technical fest. Life in college is chill if you pass the semester.

Placements & Internships : Canara engineering college is one amongst the best college in Mangalore. Especially the mechanical branch is really good and it has pretty good placement too.The CS & IS have really good placements

Fees & Scholarships : Since it's a linguistic minority college its fee is little higher. Through CET it's INR 80,000 per year and in management usually, 1 lakh per year. Loans are available.

Placements & Internships : Talking about placements and internships: In our Canara Engineering College they conduct many orientation programmes, soft skills trainings and Mock Interviews which is used to organized by INFOSYS. Overall that was good . And also we used tohave some Industrial visit as well. But our college was arranging any internships to the students till date 2015. as of now i dont know about it. Placements: Placements starts from 3rd year itself. Most of the companies used to come to our college was IT Companies like INFOSYS, CAPGEMINI, SONATA SOFTWARES, ROBOSOFT AND MANY MORE for those who want to pursue mechanical and Electricals in this college . I recommend this college is not best for you in terms of placements. Only 2 companies had come to CEC that is SAMUNDRA and Anglo Eastern. For those who want to pursue C.S, EC, IS This college is recommeded. and also they give good salary package those who have good marks in acedemics , and also one important thing you must atleast score average 65% in your overall to attend campus interviews, and also you need to have good aptitude as well. thats it.

To get admission in this college you must have scored atleast 60% in your PUC that is nothing but in your 12 th . I have written the entrance exam That is CET to get into this Canara Engineering College . I had cleared the CET ,ranking the score 32,000 overall in Karnataka state. I got the CET seat in this Canara Engineering College with option called ' Rural quota' , it was difficult to get the admission in this college with ' General Quota' due to my Ranking in CET. Thus i got the seat in this college at first round itself. To get Admission in this Canara Engineering College was simple that normally all other college does.
Fees & Scholarships : Fees in this college was affordable compared to other college. First year i have Paid totally Rs.60,000. 2nd Year to final year it continued with Rs. 56,000 , these fees is as per CET seats. if you are going with management seats it will cost you around 1lac to 2 lac depending upon which branch you select. Scholarships: Yes they do have scholarships offers for backward class students, and also those who have scored above 70% in thier 12th. even i have availed the scholarships. yes there are many oppurtunities to earn scholarships in this college.
Academics & Faculty : Overall class schedules was perfect for me, Class timings was from 9am to 4.30pm. tea interval was about to 10 mins, and Lunch timings was about 1hr . Every second saturdays were off. We had three internals and 2 semeter exams every year. I have done 2 projects one mini project and one final project. Faculties were supportive enough to complete the projects. they have given lot of time to complete our projects. Faculties were good enough to make us understand about the topics, not all lectures . They used to cover most of the sylabus in time. Only some teachers were arrogant, aggressive which some students does not like. And our HOD was enough to solve the problems, and also he supports even after graduation to get a job as well. overall teachers were good. And also i have enjoyed lot in this college. even they conduct many cultural and technical fest with each branches. During those times it will be great fun. in this college even they support for sports as well, if you are sports freak. Overall experience in this college was good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Infrastructure of this college is not that good, though the college campus is extented to 23 acres campus. Outdoor its good , neatly maintained. but one you enter inside the college . you will find cold dinking water station with no water, Inside the washroom Taps with no water and also broken taps, Uncleaned washrooms, uncleaned classroom but not too much uncleaned. And also no proper wifi facility, its horrible, they just ON the WIFI only during the admissions to grasp a good impression to the college. In library you can only books which is related to your subjects, but i can say is neatly maintained, and the best place to study and also they have more than 20 PC s in the library. Canteens also is not that good, they provide unhygenic food and also less quantity and bad quality food. But meal price is not costly they charge Rs.25/ rice meal.
Clubs & Associations : In this college there is Students council associations, they conduct elections for the post of presidents and cultural secretary. But its of no use No authorities will listen to presidents .They will make thier own decesions. Just for the name sake they are conducting the elections. We celebrated many festivals in the college like ONAM, HOLI, AYUDDHAA POOJA. But HOLY was celebrated after the college hours. As i said before in Cec i had attended many college fests, technical fests and also they allow us to go to other colleges to participate in the events and show our talent . overall experience in this college was awesome.

Placements & Internships : No internship opportunities are given by the college. Regarding Placements, only CS/IS/EC students get good companies. Placement in negligible for MECH. Hardly 2-3 companies come for MECH, No core only IT companies come at CEC.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria are very minimum which is 50% in PCM subjects in 12th standard. You can get into CEC Mangalore through KCET entrance examination, Konkani quota and CANARA quota (lateral entry from Canara PU College).
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is around Rs 70000/- INR including tuition and other fees. Hostel and mess fees will come around Rs 70000/- INR at CEC. Scholarship options are available based on specific castes and religions and not for meritorious candidates.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Separate hostel for boys and girls, but the fee is high at CEC compared to the nearby PGs. PGs cost less, and sum to around Rs 20000/- INR whereas Hostel fees are around Rs 40000/- per year. Food quality in the hostel is worst and very costly compared to nearby hotels and lunch homes. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors and comfortable seatings, Labs are best ( MECh) , Libraries are good and have a good collection of books. No WI-FI connectivity, only the college boasts about it, no proper washrooms and not hygienic.
Clubs & Associations : The college has several student societies and clubs and it is a plus point of CEC. The college organises a 2-day fest, and it is an average one. In general, The life in college is enjoyable only in the first 6 months, later it is boring.
