It is a premier educational institution for women in Delhi, India, founded by an educationist, late Shri Daulat Ram Gupta in 1960. It is a prestigious women’s college engaged in imparting liberal education to women. The college, a large constituent college of the University of the Delhi, originally started as ‘Pramila College” at 22 Tilak Marg, Delhi with 13 members of teaching staff, two office staff and about 350 students. In 1964, the college shifted to its present premises in North Campus, University of Delhi and was re-named as ‘Daulat Ram College‘. The institution has since grown into a full-fledged extended college of the University of Delhi. CUET 2024 dates have been declared. The UG and PG exams are on May 15 and March 11, 2024, respectively. The Daulat Ram College has been placed at 72nd rank by NIRF Ranking 2024 in colleges category. 

The college has acquired a strong identity and has evolved into a prestigious women’s college with its own distinct culture and traditions. It imparts education towards degrees at the Bachelors level in Arts, Science, and Commerce. It has seven departments which enroll students at the Masters level and hold M.A. tutorials which supplement the classes held at the respective Departments at the University of Delhi. At present, the college has 18 departments and over 3200 students on rolls. Daulat Ram College admission is done through online mode. Students wishing to apply are required to submit the application form on the official website of the college.

The College has excellent hostel facilities including fully AC rooms, with an intake capacity of 200 students.

Daulat Ram College Placement

 Daulat Ram College Placement cell aims at creating awareness of career opportunities available for the final year students of the college. It arranges placement seminars, interactive recruitment sessions, and workshops conducted by various national and international companies and Organizations. The college placement cell also explores and provides internships/job opportunities for 2nd-year students and enhances leadership abilities. 

Many of its students were recruited on campus by Smart cube, Capital IQ, Ernest & Young, KPMG, Wipro, Genpact, ICIC Prudential, HDFC Life, among the other organizations. Selected students were awarded the Gandhi Fellowship for two years. The college placement cell is growing with each passing day with increasing involvement of students.

Daulat Ram College Admission:

No individual intimation regarding admission will be sent. After the declaration of the Cut-off lists, eligible applicants should present themselves in person for admission.

The applicant should bring the following documents:
Certificate and mark sheet of class X
Marksheet of Class XII
Character Certificate and Provisional Certificate from the institution last attended.
Transfer and migration certificate. (For outstation candidates).
unattested recent passport size photograph.
Two sets of attested photocopies of the above certificates.

Daulat Ram College Hostel Details:

• The college has excellent hostel facilities including fully air-conditioned rooms, with an intake capacity of 220 students.
• It is open only for the undergraduate students of the College. Only those students whose parents do not reside in Delhi are eligible for admission to the Hostel. Admission is based on merit. Students seeking admission to the hostel have to apply on the prescribed form available in the Hostel office.
