Placements & Internships : This college provides internship opportunities but their value is equivalent to zero. I haven't been part of any internship program yet. On an average, there are many companies recruiting students for placement most of these companies are related to IT sector or Manufacturing industry. The highest salary for 2018 placement year is INR 14lac PA. Average salary band is INR 3.5-4.7 lac PA.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : To get admission in this college, one has to appear in WBJEE(West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by WBUT. Then you have to opt for this college in counseling.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee of this college is around INR 42000 per semester except for 1st semester. Additional INR 25000-INR 30000 are for hostel accommodation. There are many scholarship options available. Loans are easily sanctioned as management administration is very helpful in this college.
Academics & Faculty : College usually runs from 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM. Assignments are provided for enhancement of the student twice on a semester. Method of teaching is full knowledge-based, respective faculties of every department are helpful and always committed for the betterment of their student.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 3 Hostels. Food quality is not that good. Classroom quality is good, labs are fully equipped with modern apparatus, Library is built in collaboration with IIT Kharagpur. It is a fully Wi-Fi campus.
Clubs & Associations : It is good. There are many student clubs, students are given an environment in which they can bring the best out of themselves. Life in this college is quite enjoyable.

Placements & Internships : Placements are good for our college. According to the state, 90% placements guaranteed. Good MNCs, as well as private sectors, hire from our campus. 3.5 lakhs. The average starting amount for a trainee is being offered. Alumni is the best of our college according to me.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : Our college keeps eligibility criteria of at least a good ranking in WBJEE exam. The main procedure is through the counselling section which occurs after each WBJEE exam and you need to have a good percentage in your 12th boards. Fees & Scholarships : Course fee: around INR 40000 per semester excluding hostel rent Yes, scholarships are available. 50% gets a scholarship. Generally, loans are not needed.
Academics & Faculty : The daily routine is very much scheduled and projects and assignments are given on a regular basis to enhance the students' studies. Teachers are very communicative and friendly and they have a unique way of teaching. Overall experience has been very amazing.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 girls hostels 2 boys hostel and 2 professor quarters. Pgs and mess are very good and their monthly rent is around NR 1000 and nearby. Food quality is far better than other hostels.
Clubs & Associations : There are various clubs and societies in our campus. Dance, Music, Karate, Football, Cricket, Basketball, NSS, etc. The main festival of our college is Technical fest, Cultural Fest, NSS, etc. Life is as usual and friendly on our campus.

As well as privately funded scholarships are available to students provided they fulfil the criteria... In a class, 12 to 13 students avail the scholarships although the number actually depends on the eligibility criteria required for availing them. Academics & Faculty : Classes are very punctual and educative....attending the classes regularly makes up for 60% of the understanding of the topics... Assignments are given from time to.time and must be submitted within the stipulated time although on rare occasions the time can be extended siting suitable reasons... Regular class tests help the students evaluate their progress before the semesters and help them take necessary actions regarding improving themselves well beforehand. Teaching quality can be rated as 9/10 Overall ambiance is peaceful and an educational environment prevails.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Separate hostels for boys and girls and even the hostels for students of each academic year are different...the food is good..according to the residents of the hostels..hostel fee is close to INR 18000 per semester(6 months) and that includes food. Outside the college, PG is available at low rentals. Meal in college is good and the charges are reasonable...on an avg, INR 30 would give u a full meal.The campus is WI-FI enabled..and labs, classrooms are well equipped.
Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs or societies that operate within the college some of them would be karate clubs, music clubs, cricket and sports club etc. Annual festivals and the h feats are organized at the college every year where different kind of events are there...a special addition from this year would be an esports event with counter strike, FIFA, and NFS being played in a competitive platform. College life is overall nice...there is enough freedom.for.students at the same time the discipline is maintained.

Placements & Internships : I m a 3rd-year graduate at Dr B C Roy Engineering College, [BCREC] Durgapur. I haven't done any internship from the college. And the college hasn't the special premise for doing an internship. From internship view, the college is not good. Talking about placement, there is a good placement in the non-core department ( Computer Science, E.C.E, IT) but core departments (Civil,Mechanical,Electrical) are in minorities. The companies such as TCS, BOSCH, Tech Mahindra, IGate, Atos, Wipro, Axis Bank, Federal Bank etc. often come for placement in the college. The average salary figure is about Rs 2.5 lakhs to 4.5 lakhs annually. You can also view the placement record of the college on the website.
Fees & Scholarships : The course fee is about Rs 80000-90000 per year and approx Rs 40000-45000 per semester at Dr B C Roy Engineering College, [BCREC] Durgapur. There is provision for a scholarship to TFW candidates (The candidates belonging to minorities of west Bengal), they have to pay about Rs 2500-4000 per semester. The chances of getting TFW scholarship benefited student is 1 in every 10 students. If anyone requires loan they could get it from their regional banks. Besides our Indian government and the state government has provided various schemes for granting a loan to students for pursuing higher education.
Academics & Faculty : The college starts from 10 am morning to 5 pm evening. The college has a very strict schedule. Although, I am not much satisfied by the daily routine as because of very less interval between two periods and the number of classes in a day. The lab is of about 3hrs. The labs of every department are well equipped and maintained. There could be two labs in a day which is so harassing for anyone. There is a very short duration of lunch break about half an hour. The exams are being scheduled by universities and conducted by the colleges in proper day and time. Talking about the quality of education it's fair, neither good nor bad. The method of teaching is simple school teaching and it also differs from teacher to teacher. There is a provision of college uniform in the college campus for maintaining discipline and professional code of conduct. The college is good for an average student.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 3 boys hostels(One for Seniors and other Two For Juniors). The juniors hostel are good( Decent rooms,Good Ventilation, Wifi-Zone). In one room 4 boys are being accommodated. There is no provision for 3 ya 2 ya single boys room. There is no canteen in the hostels. The senior hostel is somewhat old and out of maintenance. There is no provision for A.C or Cooler in the hostel. The mess charge is approx Rs 3500 per month and seat rent is Rs.1000. The food in mess is fair. The electricity and water supply is good. Residing in P.G would cost about Rs 2500-4000 per month or depend on the location and infrastructure of the P.G. The quality of classroom is not up to the mark, they are small cosy. The libraries don't contain any literature related books and opening closing time of libraries are not worthful. The Wi-fi is not good on the college campus. The college canteen is good. A small temple is at the college campus. There is a football ground, basketball court and a gym. The infrastructure of Dr B C Roy Engineering College, [BCREC] Durgapur is overall good.
Clubs & Associations : There are no such student societies in the colleges which are so embarrassing for the student. The main festivals are Fresher (for the first years), Tech-Fest, Meet (For the Final Year), Teachers day, Independence Day, Republic Day and Hostel Night and some events. The life in BCREC college is harmonical.
