Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi Goa was established in the year 1967. The college is situated on the Farmagudi plateau, which is 4 Km from Ponda city and about 26 Km from Panaji, the capital city of Goa. The campus spans over 260 acres and is fully equipped with various amenities and state-of-the-art infrastructure. The college is managed by the Government of Goa and is affiliated to Goa University. The institute has been established to meet the growing requirements to fulfill technical manpower by different agencies, industries including government administration of the state and the nation in particular by imparting quality education and training at all levels.
The students of Goa College of Engineering are encouraged to pursue extracurricular interests along with their academics. There are student-led clubs about topics like photography, nature, music, drama, literature, and many more. The placement cell is visited by various leading companies like Infosys, Accenture, Vedanta, Capgemini, Wipro, Bidchat, and many more.
