Central Library:

To meet the requirement of academic needs of UG/PG students.
To support and facilitate Research, Learning, Teaching and Administration activities of the Institution.
To make Library & Information System as user friendly as possible with the applications of ICT (Information and Communication Technology).
To provide appropriate and comfortable ambience for the library users.

The GVR & S College of Engineering & Technology Library has acquired a good collection of books and journals in the area of Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, and related subjects like General, Mathematics, Science and Management. The library provides information services such as current awareness service, selective dissemination of information service, reference service, bibliographic service etc.

The Library has a big Reading Room for students with a huge collection of reference books and magazines. Daily Newspapers are also readily available for reading.

Started with a small collection in 2007, the library has grown to its present strength of 23191 volumes consisting of 5748 titles. Besides there are 150 back volumes of periodicals, 500 Compact discs etc.

The library subscribes to 10 foreign and 25 Indian periodicals.  By being a member of IEEE, Institution of Engineers, CSI and IETE, a number of the societal publications are also received. The other services offered to the teachers and students include Document Delivery Service, access to DELNET database, Xerox service.

Library operations are automated based on the ‘eZ School’ software package. Special care is taken to inculcate reading habit among students. Taking cognizance of the importance of TOEFL, IES, GRE, GMAT and related materials are acquired and updated.  With the personal efforts undertaken by the management, about 2500 volumes have been acquired under Book Bank Scheme to help the students those belong to S.C. and S.T.

A digital library with various Computer Aided Learning (CAL) CD’s are also available with provision of Multimedia Systems for demo as well as practical learning. Separate Library Hours for each class are also included in the regular time table to inculcate the habit of attending library by the students.

INTERNET

Wi-Fi Internet facilities are provided using optical fiber backbone covering Departments, Labs, and Library and Class rooms throughout the campus through 20 Mbps leased lines from a highly competent Service Provider.

• One lab is dedicated for internet services during the evenings.

Canteen

GVR&S takes pride in claiming that we have one of the best and the most experienced team that takes care in preparing and catering healthy food in a hygienic environment.
Our aesthetically designed Canteen is one of the best places to eat.

HOSTEL

• College run separate hostel facility with an integrated mess is provided for both boys and girls.

Girls Hostel

• Location – Chnadramouli nagar 3rd lane Guntur
• Capacity – Well lit and properly ventilated rooms with four beds, bath attached and ample study space
• Mess – dedicated mess which serves healthy and hygienic food.
• Fee – Rs 30,500/- only for the academic year 2013-14(Including Transport)
• Security – 24 hours vigilant security personnel with closed circuit cameras.
• Entertainment – Games, TV Programmes & Movies.
• Transport – students are picked up at the Hostel gate in the College bus at 8:00 AM everyday.

Boys Hostel

• Location – within the college campus so doesn‘t require to spend more on transport.
• Capacity – Well lit and properly ventilated rooms with four beds, bath attached and ample study space
• Mess – dedicated mess which serves healthy and hygienic food.
• Fee – Rs 25,000/- only for the academic year 2013-14

Security – 24 hours vigilant security services.
