HIMSR Admission

Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (HIMSR) offers a comprehensive MBBS program that spans four and a half years, followed by a one-year mandatory rotating internship, with an intake of 100 students. Admission to the MBBS program is based on the All India Rank achieved in NEET UG. Candidates must have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English and must meet the NEET UG eligibility criteria. Additionally, candidates must be at least 17 years old by the time of admission, with an upper age limit of 25 years, extended by 5 years for OBC/SC/ST applicants. The selection for management quota will be based on the MCI-established norms. HIMSR also offers various other undergraduate courses like BPT, BOT, B.Sc. in Paramedical Sciences, and Bachelor of Optometry, each with a duration of four years and a six-month internship. For postgraduate admissions, HIMSR provides MD and MS courses in three specializations, with an intake of three students per specialization. To be eligible for these courses, applicants must hold an MBBS degree or a provisional pass certificate recognized by MCI and have completed one year of rotating internship by March 31st. Admission to MD/MS is based on NEET PG All India Rank, and candidates must have MCI or State Medical Council registration. There is no upper age limit for MD/MS candidates, and a minimum qualifying mark in NEET PG is required for selection.

HIMSR Cutoff

The HIMSR Cutoff for 2024 admissions to various undergraduate programs like MBBS, BPT, Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor of Optometry, and BSc will be published once the NEET UG Counselling commences. For MD/MS admissions, the institute follows a 50% Delhi State quota and 50% All India Quota, with selection based on NEET PG scores. In the previous NEET UG session, the opening and closing ranks for MBBS admission under the 15% All India Quota were 56658 and 59571 for the general category. The remaining 85% of seats for MBBS are allocated under the Delhi State Quota. For MD/MS admission through NEET PG, the cutoff ranks varied across different rounds. In Round 1, the cutoff ranged from 23854 to 104067, in Round 2 from 19343 to 107035, in Round 3 from 22558 to 199803, and in Round 4 from 15042 to 196621 for the general category. Candidates seeking admission at HIMSR, either through the 15% All India Quota or the 85% Delhi State Quota, must participate in the counseling process organized by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

MBBS Cutoff 2024:

Admission to the MBBS program at HIMSR is determined by the NEET UG score, followed by the NEET UG Counselling process. Candidates who meet the NEET cutoff rank for their respective categories will be eligible for seat allocation. The NEET UG Counselling, conducted by DGHS on behalf of the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), fills 15% of the seats under the All India Quota and 85% of the seats under the Delhi State Quota.
