Maharaj Vijayaram Gajapathi Raj College of Engineering (MVGRCE) Infrastructure: Library, Hostel, Labs, Gym, Auditorium & Other Facilities

Library

The Books in the central library are classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification system. General books, Humanities, Mechanical and Chemical have been arranged in the ground floor in the library and Periodical Section and Circulation section is arranged in the ground floor. Books related to computer science, information technology, electrical, electronics, competitive and reference books are arranged in the first floor.

Digital library consisting of fifteen computers with internet facility was provided in the first floor. Photocopying facility was provided near the entrance of the library.

All the students, teachers and members of the Governing body of the college are IPSO FACTO members of the Library. Other employees of the college who obtain special permission of the Principal, are eligible to become members. The Principal, at his discretion,may permit any person to make use of the facilities of the library for short periods. The privilege of borrowing books from the library is restricted to the members only.

Hostel

At present, the college provides state-of-the-art hostel accommodation to girl students within the campus. The girl’s hostel has a full-time warden, recreation facilities, a small library and reading room, power backup, Internet access among other facilities. A privately owned and maintained boys hostel abetting the college campus is being encouraged to provide the necessary residential services for boys.

Transport

To facilitate the students who are commuting from Visakhapatnam & Vizianagaram, the College runs 30 buses out of which 24 are from Visakhapatnam and 6 from Vizianagaram, covering each & every corner of both the Cities.

It also extends bus facility from APSP Battalion to the college for students who are availing public transport from Visakhapatnam on free of cost.

In addition to this, a number of Public & Private Busses are available from Visakhapatnam & Vizianagaram to reach the college for every 5 mins.

Canteen

At MVGRCE the students can experience good education along with hygienic food offered at the canteen managed by our experienced members of canteen committee. Tea, coffee and snacks will be available during the morning time. At afternoon and at night the students can select their food from the menu which contains vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes at reasonable rates. The students can have soft drinks and confectionary also from the canteen. There are separate cabins for faculty and members of the staff.

Bank

As a part of Amenities the institutions has been attributed with an extension counter of Canara bank, MVGR branch Vizianagaram to carry out the fiscal transactions of institutions. Students can pay their fee through challans within the college premises. An ATM is also inaugurated on 7/7/14 by Dr.K.V.L.Raju to facilitate an ease of access.
