Ayesha Taneem

NDA Pune was established in 1954. It is the joint defence service training institute of the Indian Armed Forces, where cadets of the three services, i.e., the Indian Army, the Indian Navy, and the Indian Air Force, train together before they go on to respective service academies for further pre-commission training. The NDA is located in Khadakwasla, Pune, Maharashtra. It is the first tri-service academy in the world.

NDA Pune offers a full-time residential undergraduate program in Science and Humanities. National Defence Academy is recognized by the Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, for the B.A./B.Sc./B award. Sc (Computer Science) for Army Cadets and B Tech degree for Navy and Air Force Cadets. NDA has been recognized by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, since 1973. Academic excellence is a prerequisite for continued trainability.

NDA Pune Admission

NDA Pune Admission 2024 is ongoing. Course admissions, such as BA, B.Tech, M.Tech, B.Sc, MA, etc., are based on the NDA entrance exam conducted twice a year. It is followed by extensive interviews by the Services Selection Board covering general aptitude, psychological testing, team skills, leadership qualities, physical and social skills, and medical tests.

NDA Pune Placements

NDA Pune offers 100% internships to its students. After completing the course from National Defence Academy, the candidates are recruited into the three military forces of India. They are sent for respective training of one year before granting commission: Army cadets go to IMA Dehradun, Air Force candidates go to Air Force Academy at Dindigul, Hyderabad, and Navy cadets go to Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala, Kerala. 

After completing their respective courses, cadets' initial salary ranges from INR 56,000 to INR 1,77,000.
