Established in 1996, Padmashree Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, has set a benchmark of its own. In the beginning, the college began with 100 seats for the MBBS course which was the annual intake. It is the first private college in the State of Maharashtra to receive approval of the Medical Council of India [MCI] and the Government of India. Moreover, within a short period, the intake capacity of students for the MBBS Course increased from 150 to 250 in 2012. PDDPMCHARC, Pune is the third medical college in India and the first college in Maharashtra to be recognized by MCI. The college building is a masterpiece of its own, a marvelous infrastructure with all the basic facilities are available in the college.
