Quaid-e-Millath Government College for Women was founded by Ghulam Ghouse Khan Bahadur in 1901. It was affiliated to the University of Madras and was re-accreditated with 'B++' Grade by NAAC. It has achieved several awards in conferences, Seminars, Workshops related activities.

The Quaid-e-Millath Government College for Women Admissions is for undergraduate, postgraduate, research, and doctorate courses in various fields like Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.

In 1974, it was renamed to its current name, after the prominent personality of Janab Ibrahim Sahib, who was popularly known as Quaid-E-Millath. The campus is spread across 30 acres, and the buildings are of the old colonial-style architecture.
