Roorkee Institute Of Technology (RIT), Roorkee was established in 2005 under the aegis of Himalayan Charitable Trust. The Institute has a lush green campus on 30 acres of land. RIT is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) and affiliated to Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun. It was recently ranked 5th as the 'Most promising engineering college in India' by India Today.

RIT Roorkee is the first private college in Uttarakhand to have an Apple Lab (IOS development Center) and be part of the IOS Developer University Program (IDUP). With a center of excellence of Texas Instruments, RIT is geared up to impart training in Artificial Intelligence to make the student's industry ready and more employable.

Roorkee Institute of Technology Placement

RIT placement cell is able to provide on-campus, joint campus, and off-campus placement to the students. Leading companies across various disciplines come for campus placements at RIT. In technical courses, nearly all the students are placed even one year before the completion of the course. Top recruiters include IBM, Atlas, HCL, HP, Reliance, Samsung. The RIT placement cell regularly conducts Seminars, Paper Presentations & Workshops regularly on various career options including Entrepreneurship. Arranging periodical courses on Personality Development.

RIT Infrastructure Facilities

Following listed below are the facilities offered at Roorkee Institute of Technology, Dehradun.

• The college auditorium has a seating capacity of 400 people and is centrally air-conditioned. It contains state-of-the-art lighting and a full range of audiovisual equipment
• The institute has a cafeteria which is opened for 15 hrs. a day. It provides a wide range of eatables including tea, coffee, samosas, burger,  dosa, etc. and some essential stationery items too.
•  RIT has separate hostels for girls and boys that have access to many of the amenities such as the internet, DTH facility, medical facility, gym, dining hall, etc.
• The Library of RIT is well stocked with 33,000 good collections of books covering a wide spectrum of disciplines e.g. M.Tech., MBA, MCA, B.Tech., Polytechnic.
• The Library is subscribing to more than 100 International, National Journals and magazines in various fields of Technology, Management and General interest to Faculty and Students.

• The institute has sports grounds for Volley Ball Court Tennis Court Basket Ball Court Foot Ball Court Cricket Ground and Badminton.

RIT Admission

The applicant can download the admission form from the official site of the college. Then he has to take a printout, fill in the required details correctly and Either email the scanned copy of the form along with required documents to admissionrit1@gmail.com OR Courier the admission form along with required documents to Admission Cell, Roorkee Institute of Technology, Roorkee 8th Km Dehradun Road, Purana Roorkee –247667 Dehradun, Uttarakhand (India) Land Line:+91-1332-234036-38 Mobile:+91-9927099210, 9927099219. or the applicant can walk into the college campus & meet the admission counselor and fill the admission form, submit a photocopy of the documents. After scrutiny & fulfillment of admission criteria, the applicant will be informed about admission. Upon confirmation of admission, the candidate is required to deposit the fees as per college norms. 

RIT Hostel Details

RIT offers in its hostel a comfortable place to relax which makes one feel at home. All students of the college have been lodged in two separate hostels for boys and girls. RIT facilities free high-speed internet, DTh facility, dining hall, medical facility, gym, generator backup, etc. Apart from that it also provides indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
