Sarojini Institute of Technology was established in 2008 by the Adusumilli Sarojini Venkata Ratnam Memorial Educational Society. It was founded by Sri A Venkata Ratnam. SIT Krishna is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education [AICTE]. Sarojini Institute of Technology aims at providing quality education to students and to make them successful engineers in the society. 

The institute has a 360 degree feedback system ensuring the quality of faculty and improving it. There are 6 departments offering Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Diploma courses in Engineering and Management. This institute emphasizes on research in the technical field, 4 branches have already set up their research centres. Students can use these facilities for their projects and course work. 

SIT Krishna courses include 5 Undergraduate, 5 Postgraduate and 4 diploma programs. The courses are structured to give the student a good engineering knowledge with moral ethics. The college has several clubs like EE Club and it conducts Inter and Intra departmental events. It is also a active participant in ISTE.

The campus is situated in a scenic environment with a lush green campus. SIT Krishna has one of the best Student-Faculty ratios and invidual attention is given to each one.

JNTU, Kakinada is conducts an Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) for admission under the guidelines of AP Government. This exam is a requirement for admissions to B.Tech.
