Hostel
SGIT is offering hostel accommodation facility to students who have come to gain education in our college. The hostel rooms are well furnished with developed canteen and hygienic mess. Food is served in the mess. The hostel has a common room, library and a reading room with facilities for indoor and outdoor sports like basketball, volleyball, multipurpose gym, table tennis, carom, chess etc. Hostel has 24x7 internet access via Wi-Fi connectivity. The Students belonging to different regions and cultures stay together in a hostel to learn the lesson of co-operation, punctuality and discipline to make their life regular and systematic which helps in overall personality development with education.
Library is the hub of most intellectual and academic activities of the Institute. SGIT has a fully automated and computerized library that uses Information technology for all the activities. The library also has reading and text books facility. It contains advanced and latest literature on Engineering, Management, computer science, and Pharmacy.
The SGIT boasts of a rich collection of books, magazines, audio and videocassettes, CDs and VCDs, microfilms and Micro-fiche. A digital or electronic library is the one in which a significant proportion of the resources are available in machine-readable format accessible by means of computers.
The library is hooked on to various networks for procuring books and journals. The digital content may be locally held or accessed remotely via computer networks.
Laborites are well equipped with the latest equipments and software. Department of Physics, ECE, AEI, & ME have their concerned labs with multiple sets of instruments to cover not only the university syllabus but also to provide overall practical knowledge of theory subjects to improve their basic science foundation.
The CS & IT departments process several labs, such as Multimedia labs, Programming labs, Operating system lab, Advanced Java labs, Hardware lab and departmental project lab etc and are equipped with latest software While the ECE department comprises Communication Lab, Analog lab, Digital lab, PCB Design lab, DSP lab, Control system lab, Instrumentation lab, EMEC lab, Network lab and Electronics workshop.
ME Department has CAD lab, Engineering Mechanics Lab, Material Science Lab, beside ultra modern "Central Workshop" and Engineering Drawing Hall.
SGIT provides the most advanced Computer Centre with sufficient number of Pentium Computers with the latest configuration connected through Local Area Network. All the students have free access to the computers to do their work during the day. All the computers are having internet facility. Computer centre also has facilities like scanning, printing with high-speed laser printer. The Wi-Fi system is also installed in the campus to access high speed internet.
All computers are in LAN (Local Area Network) and are served by a powerful server. SGIT has availed MSDN from Microsoft under which almost all Microsoft products will be available to SGIT students.
Students have the choice of Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7 etc.) or Linux Operating System at SGIT.
Fully Wi-Fi Enabled campus for hi-speed digital communication. The Wi-Fi campus enables the students. The round of the clock to access any where any time on campus without the hassle wire and plug-ins.
The Institute has the prude distinction of maintaining a fully air-conditioned Seminar Hall, PA system and modern audio-visual aids. Besides hosting the monthly students assemblies, (a regular feature of the Institute) addressed by the Director in order to interact with the students, the seminar hall also hosts various academic activates, extension lecturers, educational and training programs for students and faculty.
A meaningful interaction has been initiated among the institute, industry the student and faculty. SGIT has been organizing workshops on a regular basis. The Eminent personalities are invited to the campus to share rheir thoughts a valuable experience such interaction greatly enriches the student as well faculty.
Cafeteria
The canteen not only provides the student of the campus with mouth-watering dishes but is also one of the most happening places in the campus with the entire student gathering there to discuss their new experience in the campus. Healthy & hygienic meals are made in the college canteen by a professionally managed catering company.
