SRM Engineering College, [SRM] Kanchipuram is the engineering school of SRM Institute of Science and Technology. SRM Institute of Science and Technology was formerly known as, SRM University.  It was established 33 years ago and is an AICTE approved institute. It offers different types of courses in various fields of engineering. This institute has faculties from around the globe. At this college students have the leverage of learning new technologies like bioinformatics, nanotechnology, remote sensing, and GIS, genetic engineering, embedded systems or computer forensics, etc. These courses are offered in collaboration with many foreign universities.

SRM Engineering College Admission can be done by any student across the globe. This institute has students coming from various parts of the world. It has 20% of students from Tamil Nadu and 80% of students are from different parts of India and other countries like Europe, China, etc.

Moreover, students are sent for Semester Abroad Program to foreign universities like  Carnegie Mellon, MIT, UC Davis, Warwick, and Western Australia, etc. Apart from that, this institute has many members from foreign universities who help set Global Standard for this institute. SRM Engineering College Eligibility Criteria:

SRM Engineering College Admission Procedure:

• To start the Admission Process, students must visit the official website of the college to fill out and submit the application form.
• To start the admission process at SRM University, candidates can submit their application online on the college website.
• Admissions will be based on past academic merit and scores in the qualifying exams.
• The candidates need to pay an amount of INR 1,100/- for the online application fee and INR 1,160/- for the offline application form

SRM Engineering College Hostel Details:

• Rooms are equipped with basic amenities like a cupboard, chair, study table, cot, etc.
• SRM Engineering College Facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls.
• There are 14 blocks for Men, with a total capacity of 7500 students.
• There are 7 blocks for Women, with a total capacity of 4000 students.
• Each block of the women's college can accommodate up to 700 students.
• Hostels also have modern kitchens that serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.
