The college was established in the year 2000 and the institution is fast acquiring a reputation for high-quality education and fabulous faculty-student rapport. It is functioning in the Golden Jubilee Complex of the Kerala University in the Kariavattom campus. The college is affliated to the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram.

The University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram which was earlier called the University of Travancore was established in 1937. The university has 227 affiliated colleges. Of which, 64 are Arts and Science colleges. They include 10 Government Colleges, 37 aided and 17 unaided institutions.

• The college library has 15000 books and 38 journals (national and international journals).
• It is the first automated library among various Engineering College Libraries in Kerala.

• A co-operative society is functioning inside the campus which includes office equipment, consumables, etc.
• Xerox Machine and STD Telephone booth are also available on the campus.
• A Branch of State bank of Travancore is functioning in front of the campus and its working hours are between 10 am and 5 pm.
• Medical Facility is also available for the students on the campus.
• The post office is functioning within the campus with its working hours between 9 and 5 pm
