AP RCET 2023-24 Interview
AP RCET 2023-24 interview has certain eligibility criteria. To be eligible for the AP RCET interview, the minimum score required to achieve for the unreserved category students is 50% and 45% for the reserved category candidates.
As per the original AP RCET 2023-2024 interview dates, the interview rounds were supposed to take place from May 20, 2024, however there was a delay and the revised dates for the interview were June 24 to 27, 2024. Students can download the official interview schedule PDF from the table below:
Interview Methodology: At the interview, the applicants are required to discuss their research interest/ area through a presentation before a duly constituted interview committee.
The committee consists of three members, the Chairman, Board of Studies, Head of the Department, and one senior faculty member from the department nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.
For 20 marks of viva-voce, the following aspects will be considered.
- Whether the candidate possessed the competence for the proposed research.
- Whether their proposed research work could be suitably undertaken at the institution/ college.
- Whether the proposed area of research could contribute to new/ additional knowledge.

AP RCET, Andhra Pradesh Research Common Entrance Test is a state-level qualifying test conducted by the Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, on behalf of APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council Of Higher Education).

AP RCET 2023-24 Counselling
AP RCET 2023-24 counselling (web based) window was open in June 2024. Candidates who were provided seats were required to report to their allotted colleges between the provided dates by the authority.
After the results were declared, shortlisted students were called for an interview, by the concerned university department, within a month. Every candidate must attend the viva voce to start the research work.

AP RCET 2023-24 eligibility criteria is set by the conducting authority, Andhra Pradesh University. Candidates wishing to apply for AP RCET 2023-24 are advised to check the eligibility criteria before registering for the examination.

AP RCET 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria for Full-Time Course
To apply for the full-time courses offered through AP RCET 2023-24, candidates must satisfy the following eligibility criteria.
- Candidates applying for full-time M.Phil or Ph.D programme must have a master's degree or a professional degree which is considered equivalent to master’s degree.
- All the candidates must score a minimum aggregate of 55% marks or an equivalent degree from any foreign college/ institution which is affiliated with an Assessment and Accreditation Agency (NAAC).
- Candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ PwD are given a relaxation of 5% marks, and they had to score a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
AP RCET 2023-24 Eligibility Criteria for Part-Time Course
Candidates who meet the above criteria are admitted as part-time candidates as well, as per the following order. It is based on the service seniority in the given categories.
- Regular faculty working in the university or the postgraduate centres or professional colleges and having completed at least 2 years of service.
- Faculty working in polytechnic/ government or private aided junior colleges and having completed at least 4 years of work experience.
- Faculty, librarians, or assistant librarians working in any affiliated degree colleges.

AP RCET 2023-24 Application Form
AP RCET 2023-24 application form is expected to be released in the first week of Sep 2024, after the official notification is released, on the official website. The applicants can select only two subjects while applying.
For the additional subject, they must pay the additional fee. Note that no subject(s) correction are allowed after applying. Hence, candidates are advised to check their eligibility before applying for the exam.
AP RCET 2023-24 application window for candidates to register for the exam without a late fee will be open after the deadline.
