Table of Contents
CTET Exam Pattern 2024 consists of all questions in the form of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), carrying one mark each. There is no negative marking for CTET exam if the answer is wrong. CTET question paper will consist of 150 questions in both paper 1 and paper 2. Candidates will be given 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish the exam, i.e., 150 minutes.

- CTET 2024 Paper I: For those who want to become a Primary School Teacher.
- CTET 2024 Paper-II: For those who want to become Upper Primary School Teachers.
- Paper I and II: Candidates interested in teaching Upper Primary School ( VI-VIII ) have to appear in both exams. Some states conduct a Paper III exam for the recruitment of Upper Primary School Teachers.

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern Paper I (Classes I to V)
The questions in CTET 2024 Paper I will be based on the concepts/topics covered in the prescribed syllabus of NCERT for Class I -Class V.

- Questions on Child development and pedagogy will mainly focus on the educational psychology of learning and teaching the relevant age group.
- Questions on Language I will focus on the proficiency that the candidate has in the medium of instructions.
- Questions on Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension.
- Questions on Mathematics and Environmental Science will mainly focus on problem-solving abilities, understanding of the concepts.
CTET 2024 Exam Pattern Paper II (Classes VI to VIII)
The questions in CTET 2024 Paper-II will be based on the concepts/topics covered in the prescribed syllabus of NCERT for Class VI - Class VIII.

- Questions on Child development and pedagogy will mainly focus on the educational psychology of learning and teaching the relevant age group (11-14 years). Understanding the characteristics, interaction with the learners, qualities, and attributes of a good facilitator of learning will also play an important role in securing a good score in this section.
- Questions on Language I will focus on the proficiency that the candidate has in the medium of instructions.
- Questions on Language II will focus on the elements of language, communication, and comprehension.
- Questions on Mathematics and Environmental Science will mainly focus on problem-solving abilities, understanding of the concepts. The difficulty level and the standard of questions will be up to the senior secondary stage
