MAHATET 2024 authorities have released the exam date on the official website, which is November 10, 2024, for both Papers 1 and 2. The Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHATET) will be conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination Pune (MSCE). It will be conducted in the morning and afternoon shifts. 

Additionally, the MAHA TET admit card 2024 is expected to be released between October 28, 2024, and November 8, 2024. It will include important information about the candidate and examination, including the enrollment number, exam centre details, subjects covered, and more.

The MAHA TET exam 2024 Paper 1 is for the primary classes (1 to 5), while Paper 2 is for the middle school classes (6 to 8). 

About MAHATET Exam

MAHATET 2024 will be conducted on November 10, 2024. Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHATET) is a state-level, paper-pen-based OMR assessment exam conducted by the Maharashtra State Council of Examination Pune (MSCE) to recruit candidates for teaching jobs in the state. 

The MAHATET Paper 1 is for candidates who wish to teach the primary standard (class 1-5). Paper 2 is for candidates who wish to teach secondary-level (class 6-10) students. Both papers contain 150 questions. Teachers who wish to teach both primary and secondary students can take both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

People who have already qualified for the TET exam can apply for it again to increase their scores. Candidates who qualify for the TET exam will be eligible for 2 years to apply for teaching recruitment in Maharashtra.

MAHATET 2024 Exam Schedule

The MAHATET 2024 exam will be conducted in two slots. Paper 1 of the MAHATET exam will be conducted in the morning shift, while Paper 2 will be conducted in the afternoon shift. The MAHATET exam time slots are stated below.

MAHATET 2024 Eligibility

The MAHATET 2024 eligibility criteria has been reframed this year by the Maharashtra State Council. The candidates will not be able to appear for the exam and will be disqualified if they do not fulfil the eligibility criteria.

  1. The candidates must complete class 12 or have an equivalent qualification to be able to apply for the MAHATET.
  2. The candidates must also have a bachelor's degree in teaching or a diploma in elementary education from any recognized university or institute and must have passed with a minimum of 45% to 50%.
  3. The candidate must be 18 years of age.
  4. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

The candidates planning to take up the examination can refer to the eligibility criteria given below.

PAPER I: Primary

Clearing this paper makes the candidate eligible to become a teacher for primary classes.

Uploading Documents in MAHATET 2024 Application Form

No documents have to be uploaded at the time of filling out the registration form. On application form candidate will have to upload only his latest photograph & signature separately. The photograph should be recently taken passport size must be taken against a white background.

MAHATET 2024 Application Process

The MAHATET 2024 application process consists of various steps such as registration, then form filling, fees payment, and uploading documents. MAHATET 2024 Admit Card

MAHATET 2024 admit card is expected to release between October 28, 2024, and November 8, 2024. The candidates must log in to the portal and download the admit card. It has to be carried to the examination centre compulsorily, that is why the candidates must download it and take a printout of the same.

The MAHATET admit card contains the details of the candidate and all necessary rules and regulations about the exam, which the candidate must follow. Along with the admit card, the candidate must also carry valid ID proof and all essential documents as per the instructions.

Documents to carry with the MAHATET Admit Card

The candidates will be asked to carry a few documents to the exam centre for verification. They need to bring a valid photo identity proof and its photocopy [xerox copy]. Two recent passport size photographs will also be required. The candidates should ensure that these photographs are the same as those uploaded in the MAHATET application form.

MAHATET 2024 Exam Pattern

The MAHATET 2024 exam pattern is crucial for aspirants who plan to appear for the exam. There are two papers in the MAHATET Exam; Paper-I, which is conducted to hire teachers for classes I to V, and Paper-II which is taken by candidates who want to teach the classes VI to VIII.

Both papers are of objective types, i.e., candidates should expect MCQs in the exam. There is a total of 150 questions each in both papers, and they are of 150 marks. There is no negative marking. The aspirant who wishes to teach classes I to VIII has to appear for both papers.

MAHATET 2024 Paper I Pattern:

The MAHATET 2024 Paper I has five sections namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. Paper I consists of 150 questions, each carrying one mark.. Each section is of 30 marks each. There is no negative marking.

MAHATET 2024 Syllabus

MAHATET 2024 Result

The MAHATET 2024 exam result will be released on the official website within 40 days after the conclusion of the exam. The result can be checked by logging in with the Registration ID and Password. The MSEC will issue the eligibility certificate to the candidate who qualified in the examination.

It is important for candidates to understand that the MAHATET Exam is only an eligibility test. Passing the exam does not guarantee a job, but candidates will be able to apply for a job as a teacher in various primary and upper primary schools. Upon qualifying the MAHATET exam authorities will issue an "Eligibility Certificate" which is a prerequisite for most of the teaching profile jobs in primary and upper primary schools.

MAHATET 2024 Cut Off

The MAHATET 2024 cut-off will be released on the official website of the conducting authority. Candidates appearing for the exam must score the minimum qualifying cut-off to be eligible for the next round. The MAHATET cut-off will be released category-wise for both papers, i.e. Paper I and Paper-II. The cut-off for the general category is different from the cut-off for the reserved category.

The MAHATET cut-off is decided based on many factors. The conducting authority will make the final decision on the cut-off based on the factors given below.

MAHATET 2024 Certificate

It is mandatory for all candidates to possess this Teacher Eligibility Test Certificate. The candidate can appear for MAHATET as many times as he/she wants even after possessing the certificate. The certificate shall remain valid for seven years after the date of the issue of the certificate.
