About REET
Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test (REET)/ Rajasthan Eligibility Exam for Teachers (REET) is conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan to recruit teachers for the Government and Private schools in the state of Rajasthan. This exam is a state-level exam wherein candidates must answer 150 multiple-choice questions in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
There are two papers in REET exam. Paper 1 is for Primary Level teachers, those who want to teach standards 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for Upper Primary Level teachers, those who want to teach standards 6 to 8. This exam is conducted offline and answers must be given on the OMR sheet.

REET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
To write the exam the candidates must qualify REET eligibility criteria set by the Board of Secondary Examination, Rajasthan. These criteria are important so that the candidates that qualify for the exam are of quality and have the skills and knowledge to teach the students the subjects efficiently. If a candidate fails to meet REET eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
Applicants must check the prescribed criteria before filling out the application form. The criteria for both papers are different if a candidate who wishes to appear for both the papers must fulfill the criteria for them separately. These criteria are mentioned below.
Paper 1 for Primary Level (1 to 5)
- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.

- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 45% marks along with a 2-year in Diploma in Elementary Education by NCTE.
OR
- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education.
OR
- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
OR
- Candidate must be a Graduate in any discipline along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Paper 2 for Upper Primary Level (6 to 8)
- Candidate must be a graduate in any discipline along with a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education(D.El.Ed).
OR
Candidate must be a Graduate with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 2-year bachelor's in Education.
OR
- Candidates must be Graduates with a minimum of 45% marks along with a 2-year Bachelor in Education in accordance with NCTE.
OR
- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 4-year bachelor's in Elementary Education.
OR
- Candidates must have cleared the class 12 exam with a minimum of 50% marks along with a 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
OR
- Candidate must be a Graduate with at least 50% marks along with a 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education).
Note: The candidates must have either completed or are in the last year of their Diploma in Elementary Education/ Bachelor in Elementary Education/ Bachelor in Education (Special Education).
REET 2023 Application Form
REET application form 2023 was released on Dec 21, 2022, on the official website, for General and Special Education teacher recruitment. A total of 48,000 vacancies are available for these postings. The last date to apply for the exam was till Jan 19, 2023.
To enroll for the exam, the candidates have to fill out REET 2023 application form, which was available on the official website. The application form had to be submitted in the online mode. A candidate had to fill REET form thoroughly and without making any mistakes because there is no correction window after the submission.
Steps to Apply for REET 2023
The candidate must also have a valid unique email address and phone number so that important announcements can be communicated through these platforms. The candidate’s form is only considered successfully submitted if they had paid the application money. Steps to help candidates fill out the form are given below.
- Step 1: Candidates must visit to the official website and register to generate a challan ID.
- Step 2: After registering, log in using the registration number or phone number whichever is set as the username and password.
- Step 3: Fill in the details as required and upload any documents if asked.
- Step 4: After carefully checking if all the details have been correctly filled, submit the form and pay REET registration fee.
- Step 5: Download the receipt and registration form for future reference.
REET Registration Fee
Candidates belonging to the General category and Other Backward Caste/Class (OBC) need to pay INR 500 for appearing for one paper i.e., either Paper 1 or Paper 2, and to appear for both the papers candidates have to pay INR 800 i.e., for Paper 1 and Paper 2. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Scheduled Castes (SC) must pay INR 250 for one paper (either of the two papers) and INR 500 for Paper 1 and Paper 2.
No application fee will be charged from the old candidates for the REET 2023 exam which is to be held afresh and all the facilities given to the candidates at the time of REET examination will also be made available again.
REET Admit Card 2023

Apart from the admit card, candidates carried any government ID proof and other documents as mentioned by the board for identity verification.

REET 2023 Exam Pattern
REET exam pattern 2023 was announced by the Board of Secondary School, Rajasthan (BSER). The exam was held for 300 marks. A total of 150 multiple choice questions were there on the question paper. The duration of the exam was 2 hours 30 minutes. There was also be negative marking. For each incorrect answer, one-third of the marks was deducted.
The exam conducted by the Board of Secondary School, Rajasthan for the recruitment of teachers is in the form of MCQs that applicants must answer in 2 hours 30 minutes period. One multiple choice question will have 4 options and the candidate must colour the right answer for the respective question in the OMR Sheet provided to them. The candidate had to answer all the questions and there are no options given to them. The exam is conducted in offline mode.
