The TSDEECET is a state-level examination that is intended for aspiring candidates who seek admission in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Diploma in Pre School Education (D.P.S.E) courses. TS DEECET is conducted by the Department of School Education, Government of Telangana.

The TS DEECET 2023 is a computer mode exam (online test) that is the gateway to admissions in the two-year courses offered in the Govt. DIETs or the Private Unaided Elementary Teacher Education Institutions in Telangana. These institutes are inclusive of both the Minority and Non-minority institutions.

TS DEECET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Before registering and appearing for the exam, candidates must have a clear idea of the TS DEECET eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority. The eligibility to appear for the TS DEECET 2023 exam includes age, nationality, educational qualification. The detailed TS DEECET eligibility criteria are given below.

Nationality

The aspirant must be an Indian National. He/she must meet the local or non-local status requirements as given in the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulation of admission) Order, 1947 as amended from time to time.

Age Limit

All aspiring candidates must have completed 17 years of age as of Sep 1, of the year of admission. However, candidates must note that there is no upper age limit for admissions into D.El.Ed or DPSE program.

Educational Qualification

To appear for the exam, all interested candidates must have passed the intermediate (qualifying) exam/equivalent. Moreover, the candidates must have completed the qualifying exam before admission.

The aspirants must have scored a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their qualifying exam. However, for aspirants belonging to the SC or ST or PwD (Person with Disability) category, the minimum marks needed is 45%.

TS DEECET 2023 Rule of Reservation

The reservation system followed is given in the table below. This is as per the Telangana Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974 as amended from time to time.

85% of seats are given to the local candidates and 15% of seats are given to the unreserved candidates. The definition of a local candidate or the qualifying status for someone to be deemed as a local candidate is provided in the official notification on the official website.

TS DEECET 2023 Application Form

All interested applicants can download the information bulletin from the official website free of cost. It is mandatory to check the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the conducting authority, and candidates should make sure that they satisfy all the criteria before registering for the TS DEECET 2023 exam. The step-by-step process to complete the application form is given below.

Step-1: Application Fee Payment

  • Candidates need to visit the official website.
  • On the homepage of the website, candidates need to click on 'Application Fee Payment'.
  • After clicking the link, candidates are required to provide the candidate's name (as in SSC), date of birth, medium, and mobile number.
  • Select the mode of fee payment from the given options i.e. debit card/credit card/ net banking.
  • Click on 'Proceed to Payment'.
  • Make an online payment. The confirmation of successful payment of the TS DEECET 2023 registration fee will be shown as "Transaction is successful” along with the payment ID.

Step 2: Fill Application Form

  • After the successful payment of the application form fee, candidates need to click on the 'Fill Application Form' tab on the home page.
  • Enter the payment reference ID, mobile number, and date of birth and click on the 'Proceed to Fill Application' button.
  • Now, candidates need to enter all the mandatory details such as gender, parent's name, Aadhar number, communication, permanent address, pin code, community, etc. 
  • In the next section, enter all the educational details which include board name, hall ticket number, year of passing, and details about the SSC certificate.
  • Upload the recent passport size photograph and scanned copy of the signature of the candidate. The size of the photograph should be less than 50 KB and the size of the signature should be less than 30 KB. 
  • Read the declaration at the end of the application form page and select the check box if you are done with the online application form filling. 
  • Submit the application form by clicking on 'Preview/Submit'. A pop-up alert will come that mentions - “Your application confirmed successfully. Please note your Registration Number for further correspondence”.

Note: Candidature of the candidates who have unclear photos/signatures in their applications will be rejected. No changes can be made after the submission of the application form.

Step 3: Print Application Form

  • After submitting the TS DEECET 2023 application form, the candidate can take the printout of the completed application form for future reference. It will contain all the details of the candidate provided at the time of registration.

TS DEECET 2023 Hall Ticket

TS DEECET admit card was released on the official website. The hall ticket for TS DEECET 2023 will have all the details of the candidate. In case, if any candidate is unable to download the hall ticket, he/she can contact the helpline and share the details of the Journal Number of the fee paid and the reference ID number of the application.

Candidates must bring the admit card along with valid ID proof (i.e. Aadhar card, Voter ID, Passport, Driving License, etc.) on the day of the exam. No candidates will be allowed inside the exam centre without the TS DEECET 2023 admit card and relevant documents.

Note: Admit cards will not be sent to those candidates whose photo is unclear. So all applicants are expected to upload a proper photo taken in a light background.

TS DEECET 2023 Exam Pattern

There are three parts to this exam and the paper is available in three different languages. So based on the medium of paper there will be differences in the exam pattern of TS DEECET 2023.

As the exam takes place online there is no scope for re-valuation or re-totalling. Therefore, no one can request these from the conducting authority.

TS DEECET 2023 counselling offers admission into all the Government DIETs and Category 'A' seats of the Private Unaided Teacher Education Institutions is made through Single Window System. The selection will be purely based on merit and the number of seats sanctioned through a web-based admission service as provided by the convener of TS DEECET.
