TS LAWCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria

The TS LAWCET marks vs rank 2024 will be based on the marks scored in the entrance examination by the candidate. The cut-off requirements will be based on the candidate’s category. If there is a tie between two or more candidates, it will be resolved using the following criteria to obtain a proper marks vs rank 2024.

  • The candidate who scores more in the Aptitude for Study of Law will be ranked higher. 
  • If the tie exists between the candidates, the candidate scoring more in Current Affairs will be ranked higher. 
  • If the tie is still not resolved, the elder candidate will be considered. 

TS LAWCET 2024 Normalisation Process

If the TS LAWCET paper is conducted in two sessions based on the same syllabus, exam pattern, and eligibility criteria, a candidate will be eligible for only a single session. The authorities will take utmost care to ensure that the question papers for both of the sessions are of the same standard to determine TS LAWCET Marks vs Rank 2024.

TS LAWCET 2024 Normalisation Formula

=GASD + GTA-GASD/STA-SASD x (Mark obtained by the candidate in the subject in a session – SASD)

The definitions for these terms are as follows.

  • SASD: Sum of Average and Standard Deviation of the subject of a session in which the candidate has appeared. 
  • GASD: Sum of Average and Standard Deviation of all the candidates put together for a subject across all sessions.
  • STA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of the candidates in the subject of a session in which the candidate has appeared. 
  • GTA: Average mark of the top 0.1% of all the candidates put together of a subject across all the sessions.

Note: For reserved category candidates without a qualifying cut-off, if the mark in the TS LAWCET 3-year course goes below zero, it will be treated as zero.
