Every college has its individual shortlisting criteria and CAT cut off requirements. Candidates who pass this step shall be considered for the next selection criteria.
2. Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GDPI)
After being shortlisted based on the CAT cut off 2024 score, the candidates will be called for the group discussion and personal interview rounds. The dates again, will differ for all the colleges and thus the candidates are free to apply for multiple colleges at a time. The CAT GD PI round is conducted to judge the candidates' communication skills, analytical abilities, and overall personality.
3. Final Selection
The final selection merit is created for every CAT aspirant based on different factors such as:
- Academic Excellence
- CAT cutoff marks
- Performance in CAT GDPI
Candidates with higher scores will be selected based on the seat intake.
Scoring a good CAT percentile is of utmost importance as many colleges only prefer CAT cut-off marks and percentile of the candidates for admission. In addition, the CAT percentile requirement is comparatively lower in IITs than in IIMs in India. The MBA CAT counselling 2025 will commence in January 2025, after the CAT result 2024 is declared. Several aspirants refer to IIT colleges for their MBA programs over IIMs keeping the registration process, percentile cutoff, application fee, and tuition fee in mind.
