How to Calculate the CAT 2022 Score & Percentile?
As mentioned above the CAT score is the marks obtained by the candidates out of total marks 198 and the CAT percentile is the percentage of candidates who scored lower than the one candidate in the exam. To understand the calculation, candidates can refer to the examples given below:
Calculation of CAT Score Example:
Ram appeared for the CAT exam, where he answered all 66 questions, but when it comes to correct and incorrect answers, Ram was able to get 63 questions correct and 3 incorrect answers, his total score will be:
(63 * 3) - (3*1)= 189-3= 186
Calculation of CAT Percentile Example:
Suppose 50 students took the CAT exam. Ram performed well in the exam and secured 3rd rank. It means 47 students obtained a lower score than Ram’s score. So, Ram’s CAT percentile will be calculated as shown below:
47/50*100 = 94 Percentile
