JEE Mains Seat Allotment 2025 schedule will be announced by JoSAA. After the successful completion of the JEE Main Counselling 2025 process, the seat allotment shall begin. The JEE Main Seat Allotment 2025 will be conducted in June 2025 (tentative). 110 colleges is expected to compete in the counselling administered by JoSAA including IITs, NITs and GFTIs institutions. Verifying of Records after JEE Mains Seat Allotment 2025
JoSAA allots the JEE Mains seats. Upon paying the amount marked for seats, they are considered booked. The verification of documents takes place following that.
The following are the documents required during the verifying process.
- Birth Certificate
- Class XI mark sheet
- JEE Mains admit card for 2025
- Scorecard of JEE Mains 2025
- Proof of fee payment
- A photo identity card authorized by the government
- Three passport-size images like the one uploaded while registering.
- Category certificate, if any.
How to Check the JEE Main Seat Allotment 2025?
The conducting authority, i.e. JoSAA will announce the counselling details for each round on their official website. Generally, the counselling takes place through six rounds. Seats are allotted rank-wise. The process to check the seat allotment through JEE Main are listed below:
- First of all, visit josaa.nic.in
- Then, click on the JEE Mains seat allotment 2025 for that particular round. You will be redirected to the candidate profile section.
- Next, enter your JEE Main application number plus password; along with that, type the security code provided to you in the box below and press “Login”.

Options after JEE Mains Seat Allotment 2025
Once the seat allotment is announced and you can select your particular seat, the choices open for you are Freeze, Float, and Slide. You are entitled to the opportunity to make your choice.
Further, the authority will grant the slide and float choice if you have not been given admission to your first preference decision. Here are a few steps you need to follow:
- Step 1: This is the Freezing Option. You can avail the option only if you accept the seats allotted to you in the first round.
- Step 2: The Floating Option. You may avail this option when you accept the assigned seat but desire to swap your seat for better seat allocation.
- Step 3: This is the Sliding Option; you can choose this option only if you take the assigned seat but want to upgrade your program preference in colleges and institutions accepted by JoSAA.
How to Withdraw a Seat from JoSAA Counselling 2025?
If you affirm the seat granted to you initially but later desire to change it, you can do so. However, if you opt for the withdrawal option, you cannot participate in further counselling rounds conducted by JoSAA.
Nevertheless, you will receive a refund of your money after a deduction of INR 1,000 as a processing fee charge. Candidates are kept from making modifications during the last round of seat allotment.

- Next, you have to upload a picture of a cheque that is cancelled in .jpg format.
- Then, download the request letter for withdrawal.
