AP PGECET Eligibility Criteria
The conducting body sets the AP PGECET eligibility criteria for 2024. Aspirants interested in pursuing M.Tech/M.E./M. Pharma programs must meet the AP PGECET eligibility criteria. Candidates must examine their eligibility based on characteristics such as nationality, age, domicile, and educational qualifications. The authorities have divided AP PGECET 2024 eligibility into two categories: written test and course-based eligibility.
AP PGECET 2024 Written Test Eligibility
Candidates who meet the following conditions are eligible to apply for the AP PGECET 2024:
- They should have Indian nationality.
- They must be residents of Andhra Pradesh and meet the requirements for local/non-local status.
- They must have completed a relevant Bachelor's qualifying degree or its equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks (45% for reserved category candidates) from an AICTE/UGC certified institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent.
- Candidates pursuing a B.Tech or its equivalent / B.pharm. course will be eligible for admission to the M.E./M.Tech./M.Pharmacy courses if they have completed the requirements for the program and passed all of the subjects for the degree by the date of admission counselling.
AP PGECET 2024 (M.E./ M.Tech./ M.Pharm.) Eligibility Criteria
- Before taking the AP PGECET exam, students must have earned a bachelor's degree in B.Pharm/B. Tech or an equivalent. Before enrolling in master's degree programs, candidates must have completed all of their courses successfully. Candidates are asked to submit their degree certificates to counseling for verification.
- Candidates who score higher on the AP PGECET 2024 exam will be granted priority admissions.
- Candidates who performed well in the GATE / GPAT exams will be given first preference during admissions.
- Local candidates will take up 85% of the seats in the AP PGECET test, with the remaining 15% reserved for other candidates.

AP PGECET Qualifying Marks
Before taking the AP PGECET exam, applicants should check the qualifying marks required. Candidates will be eligible for the AP PGECET only if they meet the minimum marks stipulated by the exam's administrative authority. The minimal qualifying scores for the AP PGECET examination are listed below.

AP PGECET Counselling Procedure
Counselling for the AP PGECET 2024 will take place in two rounds. The first phase, depending on the results, will start in August 2024 (tentative). The second counselling phase is slated to begin in September 2024. Students who have completed the GATE/ GPAT examinations are also eligible to register for the counselling procedure. Step 1: AP PGECET Registration
Candidates who have been shortlisted can apply for counselling on the official website. All General Category applicants must pay INR 1,000, while Reserved Category applicants must pay INR 500. Online payment options include net banking, credit, and debit cards.
Step 2: Document Verification.
The following step is document verification, and all candidates must go to the appropriate help center. After reporting, each candidate must give the rank card to the appropriate authority, who will verify the following documents brought by the student.
Step 3: Filling Out the Choices
After the verification, the candidate will be given a registration ID and must generate a password. With these credentials, they can log in and receive an OTP. After entering this OTP, candidates can select a college by clicking on the button next to the specific college and course name.
Step 4: Seat Allocation
Students will be assigned seats based on their preferences. However, the authorities will consider merit and the availability of seats. Even after seat allocation, there is the opportunity to amend and freeze. This will be the final opportunity for candidates to change the course or college they have chosen.

- Provisional certificate/ Degree certificate
- Memorandum of marks of the qualifying exam
- Memo of SSC or its equivalent
- Study certificates from Class 10 to graduation
- Integrated community certificate
- Transfer certificate
- Income certificate /Household card (white) or Ration card
- EWS certificate issued by Tahsildar if applicable.
