Before appearing for NMAT 2024, the test takers must have a clear understanding of the marking scheme. GMAC will utilize the NMAT marking scheme 2024 described below to assess the performance of the candidates:
- A total of 108 objective-type questions will be asked in the exam. The candidate will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to solve the entire question paper in computer-based mode.
- For every correct answer, the test-taker will be given 3 marks.
- There will not be any negative marking for wrong attempts or answers.
- No marks will be deducted for unattempted responses.
- Once the test taker completes a particular section, all answers will be considered final.
- The final NMAT score card will mention each section’s scaled score.
- The total score and percentile rank will also be included in the scorecard.

- Exam scheduling/Slot booking: The candidates are allowed to select a date, location, and time as per their convenience to appear for NMAT.
- Three attempts: In an admission cycle, the test taker gets an opportunity to take the NMAT exam 3 times, which means 1 exam and 2 retakes.
