Scholarship Through NMAT by GMAC

The Graduate Management Admission Council administers the NMAT 2025 and has announced an exclusive scholarship for NMAT test takers. Scholarships through NMAT by GMAC are being offered in collaboration with 13 of the country's top business schools.

GMAC administers the NMAT for admission to the MBA programmes offered at these 13 business schools. Candidates can consider scholarship colleges when filling out their preferences or after the NMAT results 2025 are released.

Scholarship Through NMAT by GMAC

The Graduate Management Admission Council has announced exclusive scholarships for NMAT test takers in collaboration with 13 prestigious B-schools. The awards are available to students enrolled in these B Schools' flagship MBA programmes.

Each school will consider the NMAT 2025 score, but the criteria for shortlisting students for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC will vary by college. As a result, candidates have an excellent opportunity to apply to multiple B-Schools simultaneously. The scholarship will be critical in allowing the candidates to pursue their dream of obtaining a management degree/diploma.

The following is a list of 13 B-Schools that provide scholarships to students based on their NMAT or GMAC scores.

GMAC Scholarship Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Not all of the B-Schools mentioned above have the same scholarship eligibility criteria. Candidates can check the following B-School eligibility criteria for the scholarship through NMAT by the GMAC scheme 

1. Alliance School of Business, Bangalore

Alliance University is a private university in Karnataka that is well-known for its expansive state-of-the-art campus in Bengaluru. It offers the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC to all qualified students who are top scorers.

• Candidates who meet the required minimum NMAT score will be considered for an Alliance School of Business MBA or PGDM.
• The scholarships would be awarded to the top ten students in each category.
• It gives awards based on academic performance, nationalized test scores, and candidate performance.

2. Athena School of Management, Mumbai

Athena School of Management, India's most exclusive business school is located in Mumbai. All qualified students are eligible for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC following the criteria given below.

Profile Scholarship: Awarded to students with outstanding resumes or EC achievements. They are given scholarships worth lakhs of rupees.

Women in Management Scholarships: Special scholarships are reserved for female applicants who are accepted.

Scholarships are available for current and alumni Rotaractors/AIESECers, as well as NCC Cadets (Past & Present).

3. Bennett University, Greater Noida

Bennett University is a private university in the centre of Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. They offer a fantastic percentage of scholarships based on the candidates' scores. The criteria that must be met are shown in the tables below:

Only candidates with more than two years of work experience will be considered for additional scholarships. The extra percentage is 5%.

4. BSE Institute Ltd, Mumbai

BSE Institute Limited is a school located in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The following criteria must be met by the candidate to be considered for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC:

• BSE Institute Ltd offers the scholarship only to candidates with an NMAT score of 185 or higher.
• On the other hand, applicants must have at least 60% of their Bachelor's degree.
• The institute only offers scholarships to the top 5 eligible applicants, who will receive a fee waiver of up to 20%.

5. ITM Business School, Navi Mumbai

ITM Business School is a school located in Navi Mumbai. The following criteria must be met by the candidate to be considered for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC:

• ITM University, Raipur, and ITM Vocational, Vadodara offer a 20% scholarship to students with a GMAC NMAT score of 160.
• Candidates who participate in the ITM scholarship round will have the opportunity to receive a full scholarship for the first year of the programme.

6. ISBR Business School, Bangalore

ISBR Business School provides a variety of scholarships to deserving and meritorious students. The scholarship is provided by the institute in the form of a tuition fee waiver. More information is provided below -

• Candidates with an NMAT score of 160 or higher are eligible for the ISBR Business School scholarship.
• The institute provides 15 scholarships, ranging from 100% to 25% tuition fee waiver.
• ISBR also provides five exclusive sports scholarships to candidates with a sports background and an NMAT score of 160 or higher.

7. Jindal Global Business School, Delhi/NCR

The eligibility criteria for the Jindal Global Business School scholarship through NMAT by GMAC are outlined below -

8. SDA Bocconi Asia Centre, Mumbai

Candidates with a good NMAT by GMAC score and academic background are eligible for the scholarship from SDA Bacooni Asia Centre. To shortlist candidates for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC scheme, the institute holds an interview. Candidates who qualify for the scholarship scheme will have their tuition fees waived by 30% to 80%.

• Dean's Fellowship

Given at the dean's discretion to deserving students who rank in the top 5% of their class. The decision is made after the first 11 months have been completed. The scholarship amount is INR 2 lac inclusive of GST. The monetary benefit is usually applied to the candidate's second module tuition fee (after 11 months).

• Scholarship for Women in Leadership

SDA Bocconi provides a scholarship of INR 2 lac to encourage female candidates to apply to the IMB programme. Scholarships are awarded to high-potential female candidates who demonstrate exceptional leadership and academic abilities.

• Cultural/Sports Scholarship

Candidates for this scholarship must have a high level of performance in some sport/cultural/art form, preferably at the national level. A grant of INR 2 lac (including GST) is made. The decision was made by the college's Scholarship Committee and is final. To claim the award, you must provide supporting and valid documentation.

9. Thapar School of Management, Punjab

To shortlist candidates for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC scheme, Thapar School of Management holds a scholarship test. There is no application fee for the scholarship test, and all candidates with a valid NMAT score are eligible to take it. The institute provides 75 merit scholarships to qualified candidates.

Mr Gaurav Srivastava, Regional Director (South Asia) of GMAC, said the scholarship scheme would help deserving candidates realise their dream of pursuing management education at some of the country's top B-Schools. Similarly, he hoped that the scholarship programme would produce high-quality management professionals.

10. SOIL, Gurgaon

Fee waivers are granted to NMAT top 5 percentile candidates, so outstanding performance in the entrance exam is required by SOIL Gurgaon. The amount granted as a scholarship through NMAT by GMAC is INR 2 lacs.

• Scholarship Based on Financial Needs

This scholarship is open to candidates with an annual family income of less than INR 5 lakhs. Applicants with a business or self-employed background are exempt from this requirement. Even candidates with a qualifying degree from another country will not be considered. This benefit provides an amount of INR 2.5 lacs.

• Scholarship Based on Merit

Students with outstanding academic records and an interest in extracurricular activities will be considered for this SOIl University scholarship. A fee waiver of INR 2 lacs is reserved for such candidates.

• Captain Vikram Batra Scholarship in Defense

Candidates from the armed forces who pass the NMAT with high scores are eligible for this scholarship. Candidates whose parents have previously served in the Indian Defence Services are eligible. The scholarship amount is $2.5 million.

• Scholarship for NGO Work

There are candidates interested in social work; SOIL provides INR 2 lacs to such dedicated students who pass the NMAT. Candidates must be actively involved in an NGO while receiving the scholarship.

12. BML Munjal University, Gurgaon

BML Munjal University is located in Sidhrawali, Haryana's Gurgaon district. It offers the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC to all qualified students who achieve high grades.

13. IILM University

IILM University is a private university in the Indian city of Gurgaon, Haryana. It offers the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC to all qualified students who achieve high grades.

Steps to Avail Scholarship through NMAT by GMAC

Before sitting for the exam, candidates must first register. To qualify for the scholarship through NMAT by GMAC, applicants must remember important dates and procedures. Most importantly, from this point forward, thorough preparation is required.

Register for a Scholarship through NMAT through GMAC

Candidates can follow the steps given below to register for a scholarship through NMAT by GMAC Management Program:

• Create an account on the official website nmat.org.
• Enter your contact information, education details, work experience, and any other information that is required.
• Choose 5 schools and colleges to which you want to send your results. The NMAT application fee includes fees for these five colleges.
• If candidates want to send their scores to more than 5 colleges, they must pay an additional INR 300 plus applicable taxes.
