DHSE determines the Kerala Plus Two passing marks of the Kerala board. Meeting the passing marks or qualifying score in each subject is mandatory to be declared a pass and avoid the compartment. As per the Kerala Plus Two exam pattern, a candidate must score at least 30% in each subject to qualify for the board exam. Also, getting the Kerala Plus two pass marks individually in the Terminal Examination (TE), Continuous Examination (CE), and practical examination is equally important.
The board has also set the plus two grading system which decides how well students have performed on a scale of 1 to 9. For example, The grade point of marks between 90 to 100 will be 9 and the Grade will be A+.

The Kerala Plus Two grading system is a 9-point grading system. In the Kerala Plus two grading marks, students who earn 180-200 marks receive a grade of A+. To be eligible for higher education, students must get at least a D+ grade.
