AFMC MBBS is a 5.5-year-long course offered at the campus in Pune. The course began in 1962, intending to induct Armed Forces Medical Services doctors. The current intake capacity is 145 seats. The AFMC MBBS admission is based on the NEET exam. The NEET 2023 exam was conducted on May 07, 2023. The NEET UG 2023 results are expected in mid-June 2023

The candidates applying for the AFMC MBBS course must be 17 years of age as of 31st December of that year. The candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with 60% aggregate marks in PCB and 50% in English. Additionally, the candidate must be medically fit and unmarried.
AFMC MBBS admission is based on NEET scores. Students must enter their NEET roll number in their application form to be eligible for admission.

The NEET Roll No. of the candidates who are shortlisted for the screening at AFMC based on merit will be displayed on the website. The screening test comprises Test of English Language Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR), Psychological Assessment test (PAT), Interview, and Medical Examination.
AFMC MBBS admissions are based on the NEET score.

Medical cadets at AFMC are allotted one of the military forces, Indian Army, Indian Airforce or Indian Navy, based on their preference and performance. It is mandatory to join one of the forces. However, if a cadet wishes to leave, they must submit a sum amount (differs each year due to training costs) to the college.
