Deshbandhu College was established by the Ministry of Rehabilitation, in the memory of Late Lala Deshbandhu Gupta - a veteran freedom fighter. The college was transferred to the Ministry of Education and later taken over by the University of Delhi. The college started in the year 1952 with just 72 students and the courses like Prep(arts), Prep(science) and Pre-medical. Now the college has 18 Undergraduate and 7 Postgraduate programs in the field of Arts, Science, and Commerce. CUET PG 2023 exam will be conducted from June 1 to June 10, 2023.

Deshbandhu College Admission 2024

The college offers Undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Arts, Science and Commerce stream. Candidates can apply for the Deshbandhu College admission 2024, through the Delhi University admission portal. The admission will be based on the Merit list prepared by the University. The marks entered in the application form will serve as the basis for computing the total marks for course - specific combinations of Best Four for admission in courses through faculties of Arts, Commerce, Mathematical Science Social Science and Three Subjects for admission in courses under faculties of Science and Applied Science.

Courses Offered by Deshbandhu College

Deshbandhu offers Undergraduate courses BA Programme, B.Com Honours, B.Sc Programme and B.Sc honours programme in different specialisation. They are also offers Post Graduate courses M.Com, M.Sc, and MA in different specialisation. 

Deshbandhu College Application Form

Candidates need to fill a pre admission form for admission to the College. The application form will be available in the University of Delhi admission portal. They have separate admission portal for separate programmes. For Postgraduate programmes students have to apply directly to the concerned faculty of the University.

• Go to the university admission portal. Select relevant admission portal (for example if you are applying for UG courses select UG Admission Portal).
• Click on New Registration and enter required details and register.
• Log in to the application form using registered Email ID and Password.
• Fill the application form with personal detailed and educational qualifications.
• Pay application fee online through Debit / Credit / Net Banking / UPI.
• Select Deshbandhu College as first preference and select course.
• Submit the application form and take a print out.
• Candidates have to produce a photocopy of the application form along with the original documents at the time of admission.

Deshbandhu College Admission Fee

Admission fee and other fees are payable at the time of admission. Government fund, College fund and University fund are included in Deshbandhu College fee structure. Candidates can pay the fee based on the fee structure.

• For BA and B.Com courses, candidates have to pay INR 10196/-
• For B.Sc courses candidates have to pay INR 12250/-
• Additional fee of INR 3000/- will be charged from all B.Com and Science students.
• Foreign students will have to pay an amount in Indian Rupee  (INR) equivalent of 100 dollar per annum in addition to the fee.

Deshbandhu College UG Admission 2024

The college offers Undergraduate courses B.Com Honours, BA Programme and BA Honours courses in Economics, English, Hindi, History, Political Science, Sanskrit in the Arts and Commerce stream. In the Science discipline, they are offers B.Sc in Life Science, Physical Science with Chemistry, Physical Science with Computer Science, Applied Physical Science and B.Sc Honours courses in Bio- Chemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Zoology.
