Kovai Medical Center Research and Educational Trust is a non-profitable willing body authorised in 1990. The intent of the trust is to contribute quality and character-building education and rendering research means to the youth of India and abroad. The trust enlarges its scholarly assistance through 6 institutions. Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College (DrNGPASC) is an organization of KMCRET trust which was established in the year 1997 under the leadership of Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, as its Chairman and Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami as its Managing Trustee and Secretary.

About NGP College:

This co-educational self-financing college was inaugurated in a rural area in Kalapatti, Coimbatore District with a slogan on Nurture, Growth and Prosper, and is affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. The college has been recognized under 2(f) and 12(B) by UGC, New Delhi. The University Grants Commission in New Delhi has bestowed autonomous status from the Academic year 2015-16. This expedites the institution's freedom of devising the curricular and co-curricular activities to form the students and meet global standards.
