M.Sc Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates must have completed their Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, following one of these educational paths: 10+2+3, 10+2+4, or 10+1+4.
  • For the General Category, candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in their Bachelor's program, while candidates from the SC/ST category must have obtained at least 55%.
  • Candidates are required to appear for the ICAR Entrance Exam for this course.

IASRI M.Sc. Selection Criteria:

  • Admission to the M.Sc. The programme is based on performance in the All India Combined Competitive Examination conducted by ICAR, or the CUET PG exam.
  • ICAR releases the merit list, after which the final admissions are confirmed.

Selection Process:

  • Academic Performance: 10% weightage
  • Entrance Exam: 80% weightage (must meet eligibility criteria)
  • Interview: 10% weightage. Candidates who pass the entrance exam will be invited for an interview in a 1:4 ratio.

  • Candidates must have completed their Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, following any of the following educational paths: 10+2+3, 10+2+4, or 10+1+4.
  • Candidates must also have completed their Master's degree in the relevant field.
  • For the General category, candidates should have obtained at least 60% marks in their Master's degree. For SC/ST category candidates, the minimum requirement is 55%.
  • Foreign students seeking admission must submit their applications through their respective embassies.

IASRI Ph.D. Selection Criteria:

  • Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the ICAR JRF Entrance Exam, academic performance, and interview.
  • Foreign students are exempt from the written test and interview.

How to Apply for IASRI:

  1. The official application notification will be released in March, either in newspapers or on the official website.
  2. Candidates must fill out the application form online and upload the required documents.
  3. The application fee should also be paid online.
  4. Candidates can apply for admission in only one discipline.
  5. Candidates have the option to select their preferred examination center.
  6. After submitting the application, candidates will receive their Admit Card online.
  7. Candidates will appear for the examination in offline mode.
  8. Results will be declared on the official website.

Admission for Foreign Students:

  1. Foreign candidates should send their application through their respective Embassies/Missions in New Delhi or through the Indian Mission abroad to the Government of India/Secretary, DARE, New Delhi.
  2. Only candidates sponsored by the Government of India/DARE/ICAR will be considered.
  3. Admissions for foreign students will be based on the evaluation of their bio-data and the recommendation of the concerned Professor.

  • All admitted students are eligible for scholarships.
  • M.Sc. students receive a monthly fellowship of ₹7,500.

IASRI Placements are good, though the frequency of the campus placement is low student mostly get jobs in ARS, Banks, Civil Cervices. There was placement cell but as the College having only PG and PhD courses with less intake at that time. Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute is very reputed that even students got placed in a private company by approaching them. We were informed with all jobs advertisement and employment news facilities.

ICAR-Indian Agricultural Statistics Research Institute Facilities include two Guest Houses, International Training Hostel and Panse Hostel situated in the campus. The Panse Hostel has 27 rooms and the International Training Hostel has 12 rooms on double occupancy. The Rooms of both guest houses are equipped with features like Complimentary Wi-Fi, Cable Television, Air-Conditions/Cooler etc.

No comparison IASRI Hostel is one of the best in India. Per room one student at that time. The licence fee is in limit and not that much. The mess was cooperative and maintained by office or college authority. The Institute has a well-organized hostel inside the campus. Of the two wings of the hostel, the new wing was constructed in 1970. Boarding and lodging in the hostel are compulsory for all the students admitted to various courses of a study conducted by the institute in the disciplines of Agricultural Statistics, Computer Applications and Bioinformatics under the PG School, IARI, New Delhi. There is well-equipped and furnished mess run on a cooperative basis by the students. There are Common Room furnished, Inter-alia where all important magazines and newspapers are available. There are adequate facilities for games, both indoor and outdoor for the students.
