With the help of Chief Minister Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, the Warangal Regional Medical Education Society established Kakatiya Medical College in 1959 with the goal of educating Telangana's medical workforce. It was first opened on July 23, 1959, and relocated to its current location in 1961. The Andhra Pradesh government took control of the institution in 1977, and in 1987 it changed its affiliation to Kakatiya University, then to NTR University of Health Sciences. The Medical Council of India has approved postgraduate programs since they were first offered in 1972. In 2006–2007, the Intermedics athletic meet was held at the college as well.

KMC Warangal Admission

Admission Criteria:

• MBBS: Admission based on NEET UG score. Candidates must have at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) to be eligible.
• MD/MS: Admission based on NEET PG score. Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from a recognized institution.

Counseling:

• State Quota: KNRUHS conducts counseling for 85% of MBBS and 50% of PG seats.
• All-India Quota: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts counseling for 15% of MBBS and 50% of PG seats.

Kakatiya Medical College Eligibility Criteria

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• The medical undergraduate program is the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. The candidate interested in applying for admission procedure must hold a decent score in their respective 10+2 examination from a recognized board.
• The college takes admission for those candidates who have met the targeted score in their entrance exam which is NEET-UG.

MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

• MD/MS is a postgraduate course in medicine for 2 to 3 years. The eligibility criteria for the PG programs is that the candidate should be MBBS passed from a recognized university.
• They should also have an eligible score in the NEET-PG entrance exam for applying to these courses.
